Chapter 348 - 348 Catch the Thief First Catch the King

Everyone understood this very well.

But the Marines were also helpless. They didn't want such a situation to happen, but there was no way around it.

Could they just retreat and walk away like this?

If they really did, wouldn't all their previous efforts have been in vain? Besides, Sengoku had already given a death order: no matter what, they had to risk their lives and fight Kronos and the others to the death!

At the same time, Kronos stood quietly at the highest point of Honeycomb Island. His eyes never left Sengoku's direction, and his gaze was cold, like a sharp blade of light.

Albedo stayed at Kronos' side like a loyal housekeeper, always waiting for his command.

"Albedo."

Suddenly, Kronos spoke. "Do you know what I'm thinking about right now?"

Albedo shook her head and replied, "Please forgive my ignorance, but I truly cannot guess."

With his hands clasped behind his back, Kronos looked unreadable as he said, "It's normal that you can't guess. Now I'll tell you why I haven't made a move."

He paused briefly before continuing: "Because I'm waiting for someone."

"That person's target should be me."

"If I'm not mistaken, Marine is wondering how they're going to capture me right now."

"However, I'm looking forward to this moment!"

Kronos suddenly burst out laughing.

Hearing this, Albedo didn't doubt his words for a moment. Instead, she thought Marine must be crazy—so crazy that they actually believed they could deal with the Kamui Pirates.

"Marine is nothing but garbage. I don't think they even have the courage to capture the leader first!"

Albedo snorted coldly, her words dripping with contempt.

After all that had happened, her hatred for Marine had already reached the bone. From the Admirals down to the lowest soldiers, in her eyes, they were all trash.

"Not necessarily," Kronos said calmly. His eyes shifted toward a distant mountain peak. "He should already be here."

Still unsatisfied, Kronos added, "Maybe there's not just one. Perhaps two… or even more."

Meanwhile, deep within Honeycomb Island, Katakuri and the others, still imprisoned, were stunned when they sensed the disturbance outside.

"What the hell is going on out there? Why do I keep hearing the sound of shells falling?"

"Could it be that fighting has already broken out outside?"

"But… who would dare to attack Honeycomb Island?"

"It can't be Mother, can it?"

Daifuku fired off a series of questions, his head spinning.

Katakuri, however, analyzed the situation calmly. His voice was grim as he said, "Mother would never attack Honeycomb Island. At this point, there's only one force that would dare attack the Kamui Pirates…"

"That's Marine."

"No other faction in this sea could do something like this except them."

As he spoke, Katakuri couldn't help but feel a headache coming on.

If he weren't imprisoned here but outside instead, he might have been able to take advantage of the chaos.

But with things turning out this way, there was no chance to interfere at all.

No wonder Katakuri was so frustrated.

What was this?

A completely missed opportunity!
