Two days after Alex returned to the academy…
"Why is everyone looking at me like that?" Alex asked as he walked to his classroom with Chuck.
Whether it be the ladies or the gentlemen, everyone they came across in the hallway had one of two reactions when they looked at him.
The first reaction was a look of awe, as if they were looking at a celebrity.
The second one was a look of disgust, as if they were looking at a pile of sh*t.
Alex appreciated the first, but the second made him feel uncomfortable.
"You really don't know?" Chuck chuckled. "It's because of what happened in the Kingdom of Faelarun. You became the Singing King and the champion of the Battle Choir."
That explained why many students, most of them being girls, were looking at him dreamily. But the look given to him by the guys was different.
Perhaps able to tell what Alex was thinking, Chuck leaned closer to whisper in his ear.
