Chapter 611 - Chapter 601: The Lord of Wisdomhall City

TN: Wisdom City –> Wisdomhall City

The Marill tribe, after smelling the Sea Incense, uncontrollable excitement appeared on their faces. They could vaguely sense a powerful attraction.

They instinctively felt that the fragrance contained something beneficial to them, and an impulse rising from deep within urged them to draw closer.

"Marill, I truly mean no harm. I only want to talk," Aven said as he walked forward.

"This incense is called Sea Incense. Not only can it increase the Water-type energy in the surrounding environment, it can also help you reproduce."

As he advanced, he continued explaining, "With Sea Incense, you'll be able to reproduce more quickly, and the offspring born will also possess greater potential."

Hearing this, the Marill immediately showed interest. In truth, even without his explanation, the powerful attraction of the incense already spoke for itself.

After reaching an appropriate distance, Aven stopped, placed the Sea Incense on the ground, then turned and walked away, leaving it behind for the Marill. He knew that winning their trust would not be something accomplished overnight.

As Aven's figure gradually disappeared into the distance, the Marill were momentarily stunned. Soon after, they became immersed in the intoxicating comfort brought by the Sea Incense, playing joyfully with their companions.

Several days passed like this. During this period, Marill Island received special treatment. Every day, Aven not only brought Sea Incense, but also Pokémon food.

The Marill population was not particularly strong and thus had been unable to occupy resource-rich islands. Aside from the lake, Marill Island itself was quite barren, with very little food available.

Now, suddenly receiving an abundance of Pokémon food, the Marill were overjoyed and grew increasingly close to Aven, their relationship deepening rapidly.

Even so, Aven did not rush matters. He planned to further nurture their bond before proposing that the entire Marill population move with him to the Pokémon Domain.

There were also a few minor incidents during this time. Because the Sea Incense continuously condensed surrounding Water-type energy, the Water-type energy on Marill Island rose significantly.

As a result, many other Water-type Pokémon were attracted to this previously resource-poor island, attempting to seize this territory that had suddenly become rich in Water-type energy.

Fortunately, Aven had long been prepared. Though he did not remain by the Marill lake during this time, he never left the island. The moment trouble arose, he rushed over.

With just Lilligant alone, he easily repelled all the invading Water-type Pokémon, displaying his overwhelming strength in full. The sight instantly shocked all the Marill present.

After that, everything progressed far more smoothly. Perhaps it was because of Aven's promise of a better living environment, or perhaps because they sensed danger and wanted protection for their kind—the Marill agreed without hesitation to move to the Pokémon Domain.

These Marill had originally drifted to this island by accident and had little sense of belonging here. Leaving posed no burden to them at all, as long as they could remain together with their kin.

"Everything is finally settled," Aven felt a sense of relief.

Without lingering, he led all the Marill away from the island and returned to the Pokémon Domain via the water routes.

Now that the coastal water Pokémon breeding zones had been established, threats at sea had largely been eliminated. Along the way, Aven even saw several fishing boats heading out to sea.

They harvested seafood from the area, but whenever they encountered Pokémon, they would consciously release them back into the ocean. A basic understanding had been established between the two sides.

Continuing along the coastline, they eventually passed through the Fair River and returned to the now huge Bibarel Lake within the Pokémon Domain. Nearby, another lake had recently been excavated, designated as the habitat for the Marill population.

At the same time, this Marill lake was located close to the castle. Once the Chansey finished their work at the Pokémon Centers, they would also return to the castle to rest. With their habitats closely connected, it would provide even more opportunities for reproduction.

"Life is still more comfortable in Aspiration City down south—this is what summer is really supposed to feel like."

Within the Aspiration Mountain Range, a young girl dressed in simple linen clothes rode a Pilowswine at high speed, weaving swiftly through the dense forest paths.

"Snort—snort—"

Beneath her, the Pilowswine let out two heavy breaths, shaking its head from side to side as if strongly disagreeing with the girl's statement.

Compared to Aspiration City, it actually preferred Wisdomhall City far more. This place was simply far too hot—especially now that it was summer. It felt as though it was about to melt away.

"The south really isn't very friendly to you," the girl said with a smile.

"So next, you'll head to Mount Coronet and wait for me. Once I'm done in Aspiration City, I'll come find you there."

She gently patted the Pilowswine beneath her. Sitting atop it, she had already begun to feel waves of stifling heat herself.

"Pil…"

A trace of hesitation appeared on the Pilowswine's face. It was clearly uneasy about letting the girl travel to Aspiration City on her own.

"Don't worry. I have Uxie with me," the girl said with a laugh, patting the Pilowswine again as she spoke to the empty air beside her.

At that moment, a faint, illusory figure of Uxie floated quietly in the air. Its eyes were closed, yet its head was tilted in the direction of Aspiration City.

"All right, we're heading out," the girl said as she jumped down from the Pilowswine's back. Immediately, waves of psychic energy began to ripple from her body.

In the next instant, her figure vanished from where she stood. When she reappeared, she was already at the foot of the mountain, greeted by an endless expanse of grassland stretching out before her.

"Whew—this air is wonderful. I'm really starting to envy that guy Mira," the girl said, spreading her arms wide as if to embrace the breeze.

"Eva, let's hurry to the Pokémon Domain"

At that moment, Uxie's voice echoed in her mind.

If Mira were present, he would have immediately recognized the girl by name. She was none other than Eva, the Lord of Wisdomhall City, one of the royal candidates.

"Uxie, there's no need to rush just yet."

"I plan to travel from the northern side of Aspiration City all the way to the Pokémon Domain and take a good look at the changes Aspiration City has undergone recently."

As she turned serious, a thoughtful expression appeared on Eva's face. Her gaze swept across her surroundings as she pondered deeply—after all, it was often the grassroots level that revealed whether a territory truly had underlying problems.

Unlike Azelf, the God of Willpower, who favored kind-hearted individuals, Uxie, the God of Wisdom, was closer to those who possessed intelligence. And the fact that Eva had become the Lord of Wisdomhall City spoke volumes about her own wisdom.

Hearing her words, Uxie nodded gently. It, too, was quite curious—after all, it had heard that Aven had implemented many reforms in Aspiration City.

With her decision made, Eva set off with Uxie, crossing the grassland ahead. The linen clothes she wore made her look just like an ordinary commoner.
