Liam looked at someone with a grievance-ridden expression, took a deep breath, and said earnestly, "Maya, we are breaking up!"
Instantly, Maya was bewildered, her brows tightly knitted, staring straight at Liam, asking, "What did you say?"
Maya's surprise was expected by Liam; however, he did not retract his words but seriously said again, "I said, we are breaking up."
When "break up" echoed again in Maya's ears, she became angry, unable to accept Liam's inexplicable behavior.
They were fine just last night, and this morning, when he went to work, he was still reluctantly affectionate; Maya couldn't believe that in the blink of an eye, Liam didn't want her anymore.
So, she frowned, speaking irritably, "Brother Liam, this joke isn't funny at all, stop messing with me."
Liam saw that Maya refused to accept their breakup, saw her about to turn and leave, and immediately reached out to grab her, saying, "Maya, I'm not joking with you, I'm serious, we're breaking up."
