Her gaze went a little hazy, and the burning in her body made the fingers of her other hand, the one holding the teacup, snap as she slammed the cup down on the coffee table.
Finally feeling that something was wrong with her body, Nicole's eyes shot straight at the man sitting there like some noble emperor. She gritted her teeth and rasped, "You set me up!"
Jose Floyd looked back into Nicole's clear, chilly eyes, his expression calm and indifferent. "I didn't do anything."
He was telling the truth. He really hadn't done anything, just had her drink the white fungus soup.....
"You're despicable! If you've got the guts to do it, have the guts to admit it! Jose Floyd, I didn't think you'd stoop to this kind of trick!" Nicole gripped the teacup, her gaze locked on Jose Floyd, her fingertips trembling slightly.
Faced with Nicole's fierce reaction, Jose Floyd casually reached out, took the cup from her hand, poured himself some tea, and unhurriedly lifted it to his lips to taste.
