"Such gentle and nonchalant nature makes her even more attractive to boys, so many pursued her in the class and even in the school..."
Joshua Floyd spoke, his voice becoming increasingly somber, took a sip of his drink, and continued, "Nicole was probably being taken care of by you back then, right? She would have a car pick her up and drop her off from school every day. And Nicole always maintained a distant and rejecting attitude towards the boys in the class, except for me, she was aloof towards every boy. This made some of the boys who couldn't pursue her hate her."
"Thus, rumors about Nicole being maintained spread throughout the class and even the school, everyone was discussing her, pointing fingers behind her back. Her approach to handling this was to ignore it, maintaining a detached attitude. I once asked her why she didn't explain, she said, 'Mouths are on others, ears are on herself, if others want to slander her, that's their business, she just won't listen.'"
