The little girl pouted in refusal, her voice soft and gentle like a lamb, "I want my mom."
"Uncle will take you back in a moment, don't worry, okay?"
"No, I want my mom." The little girl struggled to get down.
The man, afraid she'd make noise and attract attention, immediately hugged the little girl and covered her mouth, quickly heading toward a van parked by the roadside.
The little girl was scared and struggled desperately, tears welling up.
Her fearful eyes and demeanor tugged at Jose Floyd's heart painfully. Seeing the man preparing to get into the car with the girl, for reasons unknown, Jose instinctively stepped forward and grabbed the man's clothes, pulling him back several steps from the car.
"You crazy? How dare you pull me!"
Seeing that he was about to succeed with the child but was suddenly thwarted, the man was furious and turned to yell at Jose Floyd.
Jose Floyd swept a cold glance at him, "Put the child down!"
