"Miss Lu? What's wrong?" Su Li was blind and couldn't see, but Feng Huaijin, with his sight intact, noticed Lu Xiaomian looking somewhat distracted and asked.
Lu Xiaomian snapped back to reality, thought for a moment, and then said, "It's nothing, just feeling a bit scared afterward."
Feng Huaijin turned to look at Su Li, raised an eyebrow, and smiled, "Afraid afterward? I don't see her being afraid at all."
Su Li acted as if nothing had happened, remaining truly calm.
Her sightless eyes stared straight ahead, seemingly lost in thought.
Feng Huaijin gently wrapped his arm around her waist and whispered, "Su Li, let's go back."
Su Li's expression was somewhat subtle; she merely nodded.
Feng Huaijin had someone send Lu Xiaomian back, then took Su Li home.
Inside the car, it was quite dark. Su Li sat in her seat, suddenly reaching out to open the window. The autumn night's cold wind rushed in, her strands of hair flying in the air.
