Lily Winslow stood not far away, silently watching the direction in which Watt Bennet and Summer Sutton left.
Watt Bennet pulled Summer Sutton toward the quiet corner of the garden. Arriving under a tree, his body suddenly stood up, pinning her back onto the trunk.
His leg was still injured; it hadn't healed for many days, and when he stood up, he seemed very strained, even breaking into a cold sweat on his forehead.
However, his body pinned Summer Sutton down hard, with a force completely unlike that of an injured person.
"Don't provoke me!" he warned, his voice cold.
"What have I done?" Summer Sutton was not at all afraid of him. Instead, she sneered after his words, "Mr. Bennet went as far as moving houses just to avoid seeing me. Whatever I do, what has it to do with Mr. Bennet?"
"Summer!" Watt Bennet growled her name softly.
Summer Sutton raised her face, meeting his gaze with pure fury in her eyes.
