Just as Nuonuo was holding the flowers and fretting silently, the door clicked open. Before Nuonuo could react, she was pulled inside by the arm.
The door closed with a 'bang' again before Nuonuo had a chance to speak, facing Da Bao's stern gaze.
"Have you lost your mind? You're soaked and still standing outside for so long?"
Da Bao scolded her angrily, bending down to pick up Nuonuo and striding toward the bathroom.
Nuonuo was still holding the flowers in one hand, and as she was lifted completely, her other hand hurriedly wrapped around his neck. "I didn't want to stay outside for so long; you wouldn't let me in..." Nuonuo protested, feeling aggrieved.
"It's so late, with you covering your head with flowers, I might have mistaken you for a flower fairy. Should I leave you outside or invite you in?"
Da Bao was overjoyed when he heard her voice at the door.
But when he reached out his hand, he felt her wet clothes and her cold skin, and an inexplicable anger rose within him.
