After leaving the main house, Qin Moxi knew that going back with her parents would certainly result in a harsh punishment or, at the very least, an interminable family meeting. So the best course of action was to escape to Qin Mobai's place.
Seeing her run toward Qin Mobai, her parents' faces showed clearly that when she returned home, things would be even worse for her.
Thus, on the way to Qin Mobai's villa, Qin Moxi walked between Qin Mobai and Lou Xi, linking arms with both of them.
"I hope you, brother and sister-in-law, can take care of me in the future. Otherwise, who knows when my parents will send me off to the United States. By then, you can only talk to me over the phone," Qin Moxi said pitifully.
"Grandfather has spoken, so Uncle and Aunt won't send you to the United States anymore," Qin Mobai said.
"That's not certain."
"But you can't just run away from home without saying anything. Uncle and Aunt are worried about you," Lou Xi advised Qin Moxi.
