Iris Harris stood quietly by the wall for a while, then trembled and fumbled her way back to the bed, sitting down.
She raised her hand and touched the corner of her eye.
She couldn't see again.
A chill surged from the depths of her heart to her fingertips. She rubbed her eyes vigorously, but everything remained pitch black before her.
After rubbing several times, her vision was still dark. Sitting on the bed, Iris was a bit dazed.
If the first time she lost her sight she could call it an accident, then with such a prolonged blindness now, there must be a problem somewhere in her body.
She was a little scared, hearing the sound of water from the shower. Iris lowered her head, buried her face in her knees, closed her eyes, and trembled slightly.
She didn't know how long it had been before she heard the bathroom door opening. Iris lifted her head and saw Brandan Hyde walking out.
