Iris Harris suddenly fell silent.
The man's sneering appearance sent a chill to her heart.
The warmth that had recently grown seemed frozen by these few cynical words now.
She wasn't sure if it was anger, or something else, but she felt a wave of darkness in front of her eyes.
Iris sat in her seat, enduring the blackness in her vision like a TV screen freezing, and didn't speak for a long time.
After a long while, she finally spoke softly, "Calm down. Look at what you're saying now? We were both wrong about the past..." She sighed, somewhat wearily, "Since we decided to be together, didn't we agree not to bring up the past?"
If they continued to be entangled with the past, they wouldn't be able to move forward together.
