Zoe Lewis had just returned to the Lewis Family home when she saw Cherry Lewis rushing back with Doctor Chapman, followed by Milo Field.
Cherry and Doctor Chapman went into the old lady's room to discuss the child's affairs, while Milo stood in the living room, speaking softly with Zoe Lewis.
"Thanks for speaking up for me at the hospital earlier."
Zoe smiled brightly, "You're welcome. We might become family someday, so it's only right to help you out."
"About the message I received this morning..."
"Shh."
Zoe put a finger to her lips and whispered, "I sent it, but my grandma absolutely cannot know. She really doesn't like you. If she finds out I sided with you, she'd kill me."
Milo's face was full of gratitude: "Thank you."
