Chapter 174 - Chapter 174: After Dinner and “Mother

[3rd POV]

After a long and delicious dinner, in which Amity had eaten until she was full, Wanda had showed the girl her new room. The room in question was quite large, and was beautiful. Wanda had been a little amused with the fact that Amity had been so excited to see all the other dimensions that she had made, that they hadn't been able to show her her new room.

The room was huge, had a large bathroom attached to it. It had it's own walk in closet with enough space for hundreds of outfits. It also had a miniature garden that she could use for growing whatever she wanted, and was completely self sufficient.

The part that Amity had really been excited about, was the mini library that Wanda had added in the corner of her room, alongside the PC that could run any game in creation, and had access to knowledge from around the omniverse.

The library was so exciting because it had a copy of every single Abomination Magic book that Wanda had in her collection. It also had books on enchanting, alchemy, potions, and a few other areas that would help Amity massively in her desire to strengthen her abomination magic into something powerful and make it into something even greater than it already was.

Her abomination magic was already very impressive, and by Wanda's estimations, it was well beyond anyone else at her age, and was probably better than anyone in the next few years too. Hell, she was probably one of the most knowledgeable users of abomination magic in the entirety of the Boiling Isles.

The only downside she had was the fact that her magic was rather weak, at least her output was. And all she needed to do in order to improve upon that is some training in utilizing more of her magic, and learning more about variety and being a bit more creative with her magic.

Creativity was a giant part of abomination magic, and she needed to learn a bit more about it. As without enough creativity, one could never truly master the art of abomination magic without a sufficient amount of creativity.

It made a lot of sense though, considering the very manipulation and creation of abominations is tied to your creativity. There was a reason why some abominations could appear in the form of an animal, or others could look like objects. Or some are more feminine, or shaped differently.

It was all based on creativity, and a whole lot of intent.

This was the reason why Amity was so excited to have all these new books. They'd help her massively improve, as some of the books also included techniques that could be used to help with intent, willpower, and creativity.

But at the end of the day, Wanda would be the one that would need to train them in that particular area. She was the best at it for a reason.

After Amity had finished freaking out about her new room, and the library that she had, the books were very interesting and exciting to look through.

But for now, Amity had been put down to go to sleep, and Wanda had left the room. But not after promising to help the girl with her abomination magic the next morning, and also giving her a soft kiss against her forehead.

The girl liked that. She had to correct herself before she had accidentally called Wanda "Mama" for the first time. The fact that she had been willing to call her that so quickly, just further proved how awful her birth family had been.

Good thing Wanda had a lot of time to help the girl, and to show her a new family that she could love and enjoy.

It was only after the girl had fallen asleep, that Raven had walked into the living room. She had been spending most of the day with the kids, but after they had returned, she had opted to go into the meditation room. She did this every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday usually.

"Hey babe, did your training go well?" Wanda asked, glancing over as she felt Raven peck her on the lips. A small smile on her face as Raven grabbed a cup of tea and some of the stew that she had kept warm.

"Mmmm, learning the magic of Amity's universe was quite interesting. I found that their illusion magic had been shockingly in tune with me...for some reason" Raven responded with a nod, as she sat next to Wanda, biting into the food with a happy sigh.

"Delicious as always, my love" Raven said. It was the first time she had eaten this meal before, and she had to admit that she liked it already, even if it was a little different than the usual. Stews were a bit rare in their dinners.

"Thanks. And Illusion magic? I honestly was expecting you to be more in tune with abomination magic like Amity" Wanda responded, having not expected Raven to be good at illusions of all things.

"No idea why I'm good at illusions of all things, but I am. I found that my illusions were particularly...realistic, almost to the point of warping reality" Raven replied, with Wanda raising an eyebrow.

"Curious. Seems I might have to help out with your training then, if it's having such an interesting affect with your current magic" Wanda said with a hum, before Raven had asked a question she had had on her mind for a few moments now.

"How is Amity doing? I know that her...mother had come by"

"She wasn't doing the best when that little worm came here earlier, but she's doing good now. She's in her room now, sleeping. She was quite awed by the dimensions, and when I brought up the meditation dimension, she was quite interested in going there with you next time you have a session. If you're willing, at least" Wanda answered.

"It'll do her good. Meditation is quite helpful with controlling emotions and helping get over certain...less desirable aspects of her life" Raven responded, more than happy to help the girl with meditation, and to show her around the dimension that she had pretty much claimed as her own.

There was a reason why Wanda now had more than one meditation dimension.

"Great! I'm sure she'll be excited. She was asking quite a lot about you when Milim brought up her second mother at supper" Wanda replied, with Raven looking down at her with a raised eyebrow.

"Second mother?"

"Mmhmm, they don't outright call you mother very often, but whenever you are not home they call you it all the time. I suspect that they just haven't called you that to your face, because they aren't sure if you are truly okay with the idea or not. Even if they've asked before, it can be...hard to tell sometimes. Especially for them" Wanda responded to the surprised woman.

"Seems I'll have to talk with them tomorrow then" Raven said with a nod. Inwardly she was very happy to hear that they were fully willing to call her mother now. But she was a little displeased with herself for not realizing that they had simply not called her that to her face, in fear of her reaction.

It would seem that her initial acceptance of the idea was not enough for the two of them. She decided to blame it on her rather aloof personality. She wasn't the best at showing emotions around...well, anyone. The only one that could bring out a lot of emotions from her was of course Wanda.

And the kids.

"Good. It's awkward trying to get them to call you that without stuttering or trying to cover up their "Mistakes" as they like to call it" Wanda said with a pleased smile on her face, while Raven ate another bite of her stew.

"Why didn't you tell me about this sooner?" Raven couldn't help but ask, realizing that Wanda had no doubt known about this for a while now. She wasn't angry or anything, just curious to hear her answer.

"Because I was expecting for you to go to them yourself. But I forget that my girlfriend and children are pretty dumb when it comes to understanding their own emotions" Wanda responded bluntly, as Raven blinked before sighing.

"...Yes you do have me there. One of my biggest weaknesses. I hope to improve it more over the months though"

"You will. You already have quite a bit. But you'll only continue to get better as you have your family to help you" Wanda replied with a loving smile on her face, as she pecked Raven on the lips.

With that, the two got back to chatting about random things, while watching a movie and in Raven's case, eating. All the while the dark haired woman had only one thought on her mind.

'Mother huh...I like the sound of that'
