"Why didn't you turn on the lights?" She took off her shoes and changed into slippers at the entrance.
"Is your dad feeling better?" Alexander King gave her a deep look, his eyes carrying faint bluish shadows, indicating she hadn't slept well either.
"Much better now. Oh, there's something I need to tell you. I'm going to the company to help my dad because his heart hasn't been doing well lately. I might often be away from home, and I might not be able to cook for you during this period. How about we hire a maid?"
She used to think of this home as a world for just the two of them; even adding one more person made her uncomfortable. Now she no longer thought this way. There was no 'world for two'; his tenderness and thoughtfulness were all fake.
He didn't even bother to fulfill his marital duties with her.
