Nora Thompson handed all the documents and a bank card over to Avery Jane after briefing her.
"Avery, this is your new identity. Remember, wherever you go, you can't use your old ID or card. Don't do anything that can leave traces. Joshua Hughes's background is far beyond our imagination; he can reach into areas we can never touch."
Nora's concern was not unfounded. Avery looked at the items in her hand and couldn't help but worry for Nora: "Sis, will you be in trouble? Will doing this bring you any bad consequences? If so, I won't leave."
She didn't want Nora to be implicated because of her. That would be too unfair.
"Don't worry, Avery. Everything is not done by me personally, so even if Joshua finds something, it won't matter. Do you know Sir Hamilton?" Nora smiled faintly, knowing that not giving leverage to others is the most basic method of self-protection.
