c132: Omega Shenron
"Has anyone ever cracked the technique this way before?" Son Goku asked curiously, still catching his breath.
"Yes, but you're not in that timeline or dimension," Li Xu replied with a laugh.
"I see… so you've fought strong opponents in other timelines too. Man, I'd love to meet and spar with them someday!" Goku said excitedly, his eyes lighting up at the thought of stronger rivals.
"There'll be chances in the future," Li Xu said. The "other timeline" he referred to was the canonical Dragon Ball timeline, and what had been cracked before wasn't his Flash Time Skill, but rather Hit's Time-Skip and even then, only after Hit had further refined it.
"Let's keep going. Just because you cracked my Flash Time doesn't mean you can win," Li Xu grinned. His power level exceeded Goku's by at least two trillion units, a margin large enough to overwhelm Goku despite his mastery of Super Saiyan 4.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Li Xu didn't stop using Flash Time. Even though Goku had learned to anticipate the movements, it took immense mental focus and drained his stamina rapidly. He was sweating heavily now, even though he kept blocking the blows.
"This can't go on much longer," Goku thought to himself, breathing heavily. "Predicting him takes too much concentration…"
"You're too distracted!" Li Xu said with a smirk. "This fight's over."
With a sudden burst of speed, Li Xu shot forward, his figure becoming a blur. He appeared directly in front of Goku and delivered a devastating roundhouse kick. Goku barely had time to cross his arms in front of himself before the kick sent him flying backward through the sky.
Li Xu instantly teleported again, reappearing above Goku's airborne form. With both fists clenched together, he slammed down but Goku vanished just before impact, appearing behind Li Xu and launching a spinning heel kick.
But the kick passed straight through a phantom.
Li Xu reappeared again, this time right in front of Goku, kneeing him hard in the stomach. The blow pierced Goku's aura and forced him to revert from Super Saiyan 4 back into his base, child-like form.
Li Xu caught Goku mid-fall and gently descended to the ground with him.
"Dad!" Son Gohan and Goten shouted, flying in immediately.
They took Goku from Li Xu's arms. Li Xu handed them a Senzu Bean, and Goku recovered as soon as he swallowed it.
"You're crazy strong, Li Xu," Goku laughed, stretching his arms. "I didn't even push you to go all-out, did I?"
"There will be other chances," Li Xu replied. "But don't slack off in the meantime."
"I'll train even harder!" Goku promised, clenching his fists.
Li Xu turned to Vegeta. "Your strength is still lagging behind. You'll need to master Super Saiyan 4 just like Kakarot."
"Bastard!" Vegeta growled. Being called "too weak" in front of others infuriated him. He powered up into Super Saiyan and lunged at Li Xu in a rage.
Boom!
But the moment Vegeta got close, Li Xu delivered a clean punch to his abdomen, instantly knocking him out of his transformation.
"You don't necessarily need a tail to become Super Saiyan 4," Li Xu said coolly. "If you learn to properly control and channel the power of the Oozaru without losing your mind, the transformation is still possible."
"I expect to see you transformed the next time we meet," he added.
With that, Li Xu vanished using Instant Transmission.
He reappeared on a remote, uninhabited planet and pulled out a special communicator—one that Kane had given him earlier. But this time, he wasn't contacting Kane he was dialing in to reach the being Kane used to call Omega Shenron.
Now that Li Xu had arrived in the Dragon Realm, he couldn't pass up the opportunity to meet the legendary Shadow Dragon born from ultimate negative energy: Naturon Shenron, or rather, his ultimate evolved form Omega Shenron.
Li Xu pressed the device. A moment later, a holographic projection appeared: a tall figure with grey-white skin, spikes jutting from his body, and an ominous aura. Omega Shenron.
"Hello," Li Xu said with a casual smile.
"You're the reserve Time Patrol member Kane mentioned," Omega Shenron said. Clearly, he'd already been briefed.
"That's right." Li Xu nodded.
"So, why contact me directly? Trouble in the lower realms?" Omega Shenron asked, folding his arms.
"No. My assignment is complete. I want to train in the Dragon Realm," Li Xu replied.
"Hahaha! Kayin said you'd definitely use this as an excuse to come here," Omega Shenron laughed. "Looks like she was spot-on."
"I'll open a passage now. Come on in."
Moments later, the space in front of Li Xu shimmered. A swirling black vortex opened up. Without hesitation, Li Xu flew straight into it.
A storm of disorienting energy hit him immediately. Once he stabilized, he found himself standing in a completely different environment.
"The gravity here… it's enormous!"
Li Xu's body sank slightly. The gravitational pressure here was at least 100 times Earth's. Only truly powerful beings could survive and thrive under such conditions.
"Welcome to the Dragon Realm," came a voice from behind.
Li Xu turned and saw the real Omega Shenron standing beside him, far more imposing in person than through the hologram.
"Master Omega Shenron," Li Xu greeted with respect.
"No need for titles here," Omega Shenron said with a friendly grin. "Let me give you a quick tour. Your training arrangements are up to you."
"Thank you," Li Xu said gratefully. He found Omega Shenron surprisingly down-to-earth more so than even Whis, the Angel Attendant of Universe 7.
"There are seven Dragon Islands in this realm, each ruled by one of us Shadow Dragons. This is One-Star Island," Omega Shenron said as they walked forward.
Li Xu glanced around. "This island alone is massive… far bigger than Earth. Maybe even 100,000 times its surface area," he thought silently.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Suddenly, the sounds of intense battle echoed in the distance.
"That's the Combat Arena. Fighters spar there every day. It's a perfect training ground," Omega Shenron explained.
Li Xu nodded. The fighters present weren't weak at all—he could even sense a few individuals whose ki surpassed his own.
"That stairway over there is the Gravity Ascension Staircase. The gravity increases with every step," Omega Shenron added, pointing toward a massive stone structure. Li Xu saw someone slowly climbing, visibly struggling against the oppressive weight.
"Lord Omega Shenron, how come everyone on this island is so strong?" Li Xu asked. After a moment's focus, he realized—there wasn't a single non-practitioner here.
"All of them were handpicked from the lower realms. Only those who reached a certain level of power were allowed entry," Omega Shenron replied with a grin.
"Goku and Vegeta from Earth are incredibly strong too stronger than most here. Why haven't they been invited?" Li Xu asked, genuinely puzzled.
The residents were strong, but Super Saiyan 3 and Super Saiyan 4 warriors were still rare here.
"Because of Dragon Balls," Omega Shenron said cryptically, his tone suddenly serious.
"Because of Dragon Balls?" Li Xu repeated, confused. "What does that have to do with anything?"
