Bologue has killed many people in his life, but has rarely loved anyone. To him, the word "love" is as unfamiliar as the other side of a distant world—something he never thought or dared to hope for.
He is like a rebellious teenager, believing himself to be the chosen Savior, the retribution punishing evil men, the Evil Spirit seeking blood vengeance, yet he never considered these matters that are so close to reality, right by his side.
When such a thing happened, Bologue felt a mix of panic and surprise, followed by a bit of fear.
Bologue was used to this kind of life, plunging a knife into others' bodies or having someone else's knife pierce through his chest. He was accustomed to such a brutal existence; even enduring it for a decade seemed like a brief respite to him.
But this was different, vastly different.
This made Bologue recall the story Cinderella once told him.
