"The Dawn War, a distant and harsh memory, almost took over my entire childhood," Olivia's voice shifted, and she asked, "Did Serey ever tell you my mother's story?"
Bologue nodded and replied, "Serey told me about her, but it was just bits and pieces."
"Like what?"
"Back then, Serey was traveling around the world, drifting from one warm embrace to another. He thought he would always live in such indulgence until he met your mother. It seemed this wanderer truly fell in love with someone and was willing to wear shackles."
Looking back now, Bologue found this experience to have a certain romantic undertone.
If this were a movie, it would be the perfect ending, yet unfortunately, life is not a movie. It doesn't end because a certain event concludes; the story continues to unfold until it becomes unrecognizable.
"Oh, I understand now."
From Bologue's account, Olivia roughly understood what Serey's story was all about.
