The reason for Human's sudden terror was only one.
Something was off.

Human's final thought surfaced. In disbelief, he lifted his head and saw Emily's indifferent face. On that face, her eyes were so cold and blood‑red.

Human's lips moved slightly. Under the powerful medicinal effect of the Bloodthirst Pill, even with his heart shredded, he hadn't completely died yet.
Emily's white hand gently stroked Human's face, her expression utterly cold: "Boss, you know it. That monster is too strong, there's no way we can all get away. Not even with the Bloodthirst Pill."
