Ye Fan and Mengyao returned to the villa to find a heavyweight guest waiting for them.
The visitor was Zhang Lu's dad, Zhang Jiefang.
"Uncle Zhang." Mengyao greeted him.
Because of her grandfather Chu Erzhu, she knew this elder Zhang Jiefang. The last time she saw him wasn't long ago; she had accompanied Ye Fan and Zhang Lu to have a meal with Zhang Jiefang and Chu Erzhu.
"So it's Mengyao. When you were little, I even held you in my arms, remember?" Zhang Jiefang said with a big smile, his gaze sweeping over Ye Fan and Mengyao for a moment, his expression full of kindly affection.
"Uncle Zhang, did you need something?" Mengyao ignored his obvious attempt to close the distance and directly asked why he'd come.
"I don't go to the temple for no reason. I believe you've already noticed I'm not here just to reminisce." Zhang Jiefang was very straightforward.
"How about we sit down for a game?" Ye Fan cut in at just the right moment.
