The Disk Islands, the headquarters of the Mage United Council, Saint Tavizan.
Calvin returned here through the Teleportation Gate, standing on his Floating Tower, gazing at the scenery outside.
"Still so prosperous... yet still so corrupt and decadent." he murmured softly.
"Why didn't you notify your teacher? Do you not have this old man in your heart anymore?" A voice, aged yet full of vigor, came from behind.
Calvin turned around, looked at the speaker, and silently bowed his head, respectfully calling out, "Teacher."
Du Fal nodded slightly. It had been years since he last saw his student after letting Calvin choose to join the Night Watchers.
"You've harnessed the power of the Night Watchers well, it seems. And you've reached your own limits at such a young age. Have you thought about the path you want to take next?"
Today's Du Fal had an exceptionally calm tone, perhaps because he was particularly pleased to reunite with his long-unseen student.
