Lindong couldn't predict Ethan's thoughts. His mind was always so unique, always quick to propose some sharp perspectives, and sometimes even harsh remarks, which made her heart pound. If the person she loved most gave her past efforts a "crap" rating, she felt she would be so upset she'd have chest pains and wouldn't be able to eat for a week.
So she chose to turn her back on Ethan and closed her eyes.
This way, even if she shed a few tears, Ethan wouldn't see them. "I heard that after I went to the Origin Society, the Divinity possessed the Chief Prosecutor and met with you. Your conversation ended in disagreement."
Ethan was different from those obedient residents of the Holy City. The Lord of the Holy City had obviously never encountered someone like him. This person always spoke frankly, even in front of his Old Gods friends, and the Divinity probably heard many sharp voices from Ethan.
"I called the Divinity a charlatan."
