Luo Fei had just finished speaking.
His phone rang.
"Mr. Luo, I've been shopping with Su Jianfan for half the day. My legs are sore. Can we stop acting for now?"
On the other end of the line.
Came Lin Zimo's slightly frail voice.
Luo Fei chuckled too.
"Lin Zimo, your acting is so realistic, you almost fooled me just now."
It was clear from Luo Fei's tone that he was being somewhat complimentary.
Lin Zimo pouted slightly.
A bit embarrassed as well.
"Mr. Luo, I just didn't want to get exposed, so I had to be more committed."
"I just don't know, was my acting effective just now?"
"Did Auntie Song believe me completely?"
It seemed Lin Zimo was afraid her acting wasn't convincing.
Her heart was probably pounding like crazy.
Luo Fei, however, comforted her with a smile.
"Lin Zimo, I must say, your acting was really convincing just now."
"Auntie Song almost believed you."
"What? She saw through my acting? Doesn't that mean all our efforts were in vain?"
