There could be multiple reasons for that one of which might be due to the fact that in her back world, no one really wanna be a cook as 99% of the population dreams of becoming a high-ranking mage since it gives glory, riches and respect
Glory, riches and respect are the only things that are the ambition of any person, as a result no one really takes the serious job of making new and tasty dishes since most dishes they make are about improving one's body
Even now after coming to this world, where she needed to eat to survive even though she might need to eat once per day, she just eats to survive, not to enjoy
At this moment eating food cooked by Kaneki, she couldn't help but feel a different kind of emotion she had never felt before

"It's really dangerously delicious" Iris said this in a really low tone as no one was able to hear other than Kaneki who had special hearing but decided to ignore it since even though she just said that, he could still see how much she liked his food
"He used to make more delicious food for me back at our home~" Shizuka said this with a smile on her face as she specifically mentioned "our home"
Letting Iris know she is the one who Kaneki cares about, and the fact that she wanted to exert her dominance over Iris
Shizuka considered Iris as a rival due to her dangerous figure which is no less than a celebrity as a result danger senses in Shizuka's mind didnt go off at the mere sight of her
