Chapter 41 - Chapter 41 — Eagle’s War

The atmosphere inside the office became suffocating after the letter.

No one spoke for several seconds.

Aryan simply stared at the photograph of Nithya's university while that cold smile remained on his face.

Dangerous smile.

The kind that appeared before people disappeared.

Nithya watched him carefully.

"Aryan."

He finally looked up.

"He crossed a line."

Simple sentence.

Terrifying meaning.

Rohan quietly stood still because he already understood something important.

Lucien Moreau had officially become Eagle's personal target.

And that never ended peacefully.

Aryan calmly placed the photograph on the desk.

Then he spoke coldly,

"Block every European financial route connected to Lucien."

Rohan immediately nodded.

"Yes, sir."

"Freeze weapon transfers."

"Yes, sir."

"Destroy his harbor supply chains."

Rohan hesitated for one second.

"All of them?"

Aryan's dark eyes became ice cold.

"All."

The room fell silent again.

Because Eagle rarely attacked emotionally.

But this time?

This war was personal.

Nithya slowly walked closer.

"You're declaring open war."

Aryan looked directly at her.

"He threatened you."

"And?"

"And I don't forgive people for that."

His voice remained calm.

Too calm.

Which somehow felt more dangerous than shouting.

Nithya touched the black envelope lightly.

"Lucien wanted a reaction."

Aryan stepped closer immediately.

"Then I'll give him one."

"Aryan—"

"No."

He gently held her face.

"This ends now."

For one brief moment, Nithya saw pure possessiveness inside his eyes.

Not toxic.

Not controlling.

Protective.

Terrifyingly protective.

And somehow…

It made her heart beat faster.

Later that night, the underground world exploded into chaos.

Within hours, multiple European shipping routes connected to Lucien mysteriously collapsed.

Weapon warehouses burned.

Illegal accounts froze.

Entire supply chains disappeared overnight.

Every organization understood immediately.

Eagle had started war.

Inside a private penthouse in Seoul, Lucien calmly listened to the damage reports.

One of his men looked terrified.

"Sir… we lost three ports already."

Lucien slowly poured wine into a glass.

"And?"

"They're attacking too fast."

Lucien smiled faintly.

Interesting.

Very interesting.

Because Eagle was proving emotional exactly as expected.

But something else interested Lucien more.

"How did Devil react?"

The man hesitated.

"She stayed beside him."

Silence.

Then Lucien's smile slowly disappeared.

That answer clearly annoyed him.

Back at Aryan's mansion, war strategy meetings continued through midnight.

Large screens displayed attacks happening across Europe while Eagle's network moved aggressively.

Nithya sat beside Aryan silently reviewing reports.

After several minutes, she finally said quietly,

"You're terrifying when angry."

Aryan looked toward her.

"You sound impressed."

"A little."

His lips curved faintly.

Then unexpectedly he leaned closer and whispered softly,

"This is still the calm version."

Nithya stared at him for one second.

Impossible man.

Suddenly alarms flashed across one of the digital screens.

Rohan immediately looked up.

"Sir."

Aryan's expression hardened instantly.

"What happened?"

"Lucien retaliated."

The screen displayed burning cargo ships near one of Eagle's Korean ports.

Several men in the room became tense immediately.

Rohan continued quickly,

"He attacked one of your major harbor routes."

Aryan stood slowly.

Cold.

Silent.

Dangerous.

Nithya noticed something immediately.

He wasn't angry anymore.

That was worse.

Much worse.

Because calm Eagle during war was terrifying.

Aryan looked toward the burning harbor footage quietly.

Then softly he asked,

"Casualties?"

"Minimal."

"Good."

He turned toward Rohan again.

"Prepare my jet."

Rohan blinked.

"Sir?"

Aryan's eyes became deadly calm.

"If Lucien wants war…"

His gaze shifted toward the screen once more.

"…then I'll visit Europe personally."

Silence exploded through the room.

Even experienced mafia leaders looked shocked.

Because Eagle rarely moved personally unless destruction followed.

Nithya stood immediately.

"You're going alone?"

Aryan looked at her like the answer was obvious.

"No."

She crossed her arms.

"You're not leaving me behind."

"I wasn't planning to."

Fair.

Again.

For a brief second, both stared at each other silently.

Then slowly…

A dangerous smile appeared on Nithya's face too.

Devil's smile.

Beautiful.

Deadly.

"Europe should be worried," she said softly.

Aryan stepped beside her.

"They should pray instead."

And somewhere far away…

Lucien Moreau stood near a window overlooking Seoul's night skyline.

Still smiling.

Still confident.

Completely unaware that Eagle and Devil were now coming directly for him.
