The next morning, Alexander arrived at the training grounds before sunrise.
He carried his broadsword across his back and a small traveling bag over one shoulder. He did not know how long the trip would last, so he had packed several changes of clothing, food, and a few basic supplies.
He had expected Lucen to be waiting for him alone. Instead, Cael stood near the entrance of the training ground, carrying his sword and a traveling bag of his own.
"Cael? Are you coming with us?" Alexander asked.
Cael nodded his head. "My brother told me to prepare for a training trip."
Alexander looked at him in surprise for a moment before calming down. It didn't really matter to him who came on this training trip as long as Lucen taught them how to get stronger.
"Did Instructor Lucen tell you where we're going?" Alexander asked.
"No," Cael answered. Alexander smiled helplessly as he looked at Cael's stoic expression.
"Then I guess we'll find out together."
