~Aaron's POV
By the time the house finally went quiet, it felt like the day had stretched into something soft and full. The twins were already half-asleep when I carried Jasmine into her room, her small arms loosely around my neck, her head resting against my shoulder. Katherine followed behind with Hanith, whispering gently to him as he fought sleep, mumbling something about balloons and cake.
We bathed them slowly, carefully, like we didn't want to rush the moment away. There was something peaceful about it, the warm water, their sleepy giggles, the way they leaned into us without resistance. After drying them up and helping them into their nightwear, we tucked them into bed.
"Goodnight, Daddy," Hanith murmured, his voice already fading.
"Goodnight, my boy," I said softly, brushing his hair back.
Jasmine reached for Katherine, and she kissed her forehead gently. "Sleep well, my love."
