Just when Lillian was about to take her brother to leave, Jasper stepped forward and grabbed onto Ethan's shirt tightly. There was rage in his eyes, and his tone was threatening.
"I do not know what engagement is going on between Lillian and you, but break it off. You don't deserve her."
Lillian was taken aback for a second, not expecting Jasper to take a stand for her in this manner. Nevertheless, as always, it brought about a tinge of warmth within her.
Ethan was the male lead, and everything went in his favor. Yet instead of fearing his status, Jasper was willing to take a stand for her in this matter.
It felt nice.
