Chapter 127 - chapter 126

DEVIS HOUSE –

Amber's voice was calm, yet held that quiet authority only she could command.

Amber:

"Why… why do you look so scared, Eric?"

Eric, trembling slightly, lowered his gaze:

"Y-you don't want us … right? That's why you want to leave me to , any way l am a orphan now " 😨

Everyone: leave 😶

Amber moved closer, her presence both soothing and powerful. She leaned in, her lips near his ear, her breath warm and comforting.

Amber:

"How will you be orphan , If you marry my son… then… aren't we are your parents too?"

Eric's heart skipped a beat. Fear, confusion, and awe all collided in him.

Eric:

"W-what… are you serious? Are you… okay with it Ma'am?"

Amber smiled softly, a gentle warmth in her eyes.

Amber:

"If you want, dear… you can. I'll support you."

Eric felt his chest tighten, a mixture of relief and disbelief flooding him. His eyes shimmered with tears he hadn't realized were there.

Eric: 🥲

"R-really…? Even with… everything?"

Amber placed a reassuring hand on his shoulder.

Amber: 😊

"Even with everything. You're part of this family now. Always."

Eric's gaze shifted, and he finally looked up at Justin, who was standing silently . For the first time, Eric felt a spark of hope—a chance at belonging, a chance at family.

Eric: 🥲

"Then… I-I don't want to be away… from any of you."

Amber's eyes softened, almost tenderly. She brushed his hair back and whispered:

Amber:

"You never will be, Eric. You're home."

Justin, still processing, finally let a small, almost imperceptible nod escape him. No words, but a silent acknowledgment that he understood and that Eric's place in their lives was no longer in question.

The room fell into a comfortable, fragile silence. Amber stood between the two, a quiet guardian, while Eric slowly let himself relax.

Amber:

"From today… we face everything together. No more running, no more fear. We're a family. All of us."

Eric's lips curved into a shy, grateful smile.

Eric: 🥰

"I… I'm happy. I really am…"

Justin finally let out a small, almost imperceptible sigh, feeling a weight lift off his chest.

In that moment, with Amber's presence bridging the gap between past pain and future hope, the Devis household felt a little warmer, a little safer.

Everyone forgot that word leave which was said by Eric, even Eric forgit in happiness.
