At the very rear, the long ranks of the Witchers begin to raise their bows.
Their number is not small.
Thousands.
Perhaps even more.
Several Marshals can be seen leading the formation, standing higher upon their horses while raising their weapons.
A new wave of war arrives once again.
"They just keep coming, don't they..." Lucifer murmurs quietly.
The line of troops grows closer to the horizon.
The marching steps of the Infantry are now clearly heard.
CLANK—CLANK—CLANK—
The iron of their armor collides as they walk.
The Cavalry begin to accelerate their horses.
THUD—THUD—THUD—THUD—
Behind them, the Witchers begin drawing their bowstrings.

But before they reach the line of battle—
A shadow moves.
SKLASH—In the blink of an eye, Lucifer is no longer standing before Hiro. Instead, he appears among them.
Right in the middle of the newly arrived ranks.
One Infantry soldier at the front line does not even have time to understand what happens.
Lucifer swings his sword.
SKLASH—
His long blade cleaves through him.
The soldier's body splits apart before he can even raise his weapon.
The Infantry beside him turns his head.
"What—"
SKASH—
His head separates from his body.
Lucifer steps forward.
His movements remain calm.
His sword moves again.
CLANG—
One Infantry soldier attempts to block with his shield.
The shield splits apart.
The body behind it is cut down as well.
SKLASH—
Two other soldiers collapse at the same time.
"ATTACK—!" one of the Marshals shouts from the rear.
The Infantry immediately charge together.
CLANK—CLANK—CLANK—
Dozens of swords are raised.
Lucifer's blade sweeps sideways.
SKLASH—
Five bodies are cut apart instantly.
Blood sprays onto the ground.
Several soldiers behind them stop abruptly.
"What is that—?!"
Lucifer has already moved again.
His sword spins.
CLANG—SKASH—CLANG—
Three swords shatter.
Four bodies fall.
Dozens of Infantry begin attacking at once.
Their blades come from every direction.
Lucifer merely raises his sword slightly.
CLANG—CLANG—CLANG—
All the attacks are deflected.
One step forward.
SKLASH—
The front line collapses immediately.
More than a dozen bodies fall in a single motion.
The Cavalry finally reach striking distance.
"FORWARD!"
THUD—THUD—THUD—THUD—
The warhorses charge directly toward Lucifer.
Dust rises from the pounding of their hooves.
One Cavalry soldier raises his spear high.
"DIE—!"
Lucifer does not even look at him.
His sword moves.
SKLASH—
Horse and rider split apart together.
Their bodies crash violently onto the ground.
THUD—CRASH—
Two other Cavalry attempt to attack from the left.
Lucifer raises the long staff in his left hand.
WHAM—
The staff strikes the chest of one horse.
CRACK—
The horse is thrown sideways together with its rider.
Another rider attempts to slash from behind.
Lucifer spins his body.
SKASH—
The rider falls without a head.
The other Cavalry begin to hesitate.
But the galloping horses behind them continue pushing them forward.
THUD—THUD—THUD—
Lucifer walks directly toward them.
His sword moves again.
SKLASH—
Two horses collapse.
CLANG—
One sword is knocked away.
SKASH—
Three riders fall to the ground.
The Cavalry formation begins to collapse.
But from the rear—
TWANG—

TWANG—
The Witchers finally release their arrows.
SHHHHHHH—
Thousands of arrows shoot into the sky.
The heavens are instantly covered by the shadows of arrowheads.
The Witchers stare forward with full concentration.
But before the arrows reach the ground—
SKLASH—
Lucifer is already in the air.
His sword moves rapidly.
CLING—CLANG—SKASH—CLING—
Dozens of arrows snap apart.
His blade continues spinning.
CLANG—CLANG—CLANG—
Hundreds of arrows shatter before reaching the ground.
Lucifer lands again.
THUD—
He disappears once more.
SKLASH—
Now he stands in the middle of the Witcher formation.
One archer has not even lowered his bow yet.
"He's—"
SKASH—
His body falls apart.
Lucifer walks among them.
His sword moves without pause.
SKLASH—

SKASH—
The Witchers begin to panic.
"FORMATION—!"
"ATTACK HIM—!"
But Lucifer moves again.
CLANG—
A bow breaks.
SKASH—
Three bodies fall.
His long staff spins.
WHAM—
A Marshal is thrown from his horse.
THUD—
His body slams hard onto the ground.
Lucifer steps closer.
The Marshal tries to rise.
"What are you—"
CRACK—
Lucifer's staff crushes his head.
The body falls silent instantly.
Around them, the army begins to collapse.
The remaining Infantry attempt to retreat.
The surviving Cavalry turn their horses around.
But Lucifer does not stop.
His sword continues moving.
SKLASH—
SKLASH—
SKLASH—
Dozens fall.
Hundreds follow.
Within a very short time—
The battlefield grows silent once again.
No soldiers remain standing.
Only bodies scattered across the ground.
The wind moves slowly across the blood-soaked field.
Several seconds pass.
Then—
SKLASH—
Lucifer appears once more.
This time, in front of Hiro.
The distance between them is only a few steps.
Lucifer stands upright.
The long sword still rests in his hand.
His breathing is perfectly steady.
Lucifer tilts his head slightly.
A faint smile appears on his face.
"Fight me, son."
