Alex turned to the old man, One Heaven.
"Thank you for everything you've done for us, sir," he said sincerely.
One Heaven shook his head.
"There is no need for gratitude. This was an opportunity brought about by your own Fate and Fortune. And for me… this was merely a trade."
He paused briefly before continuing.
"I only hope that when the time comes, you will stand and fight for this plane."
"I will," Alex nodded. "I can't promise that I'll save the world, but I can promise that I'll do my best."
"That is all I can ask," One Heaven replied with a faint smile.
His figure began to grow faint.
"Just in time…" he muttered.
Then he turned his gaze towards Alex and the others.
"It seems my time has come to an end. At last, I can rest—both in time and in death."
He let out a quiet breath.
