"Well, that is...a lot bigger than I expected," Chris muttered, standing on the surface of Mars while staring at the Warworld above. It was nearly half the size of Mars and significantly larger than its moons.
On top of that, he narrowed his eyes at the tens of thousands of weapons he could see on its surface, everything from energy lances and missiles to gravity cannons and railguns all pointed at Mars.
Thankfully, it appears that Mongul was hopefully a man of his word as Chris caught sight of a small ship detaching from the Warworld's underside and glide towards Mars.
'Is that them?' he thought, narrowing his eyes. His eyes shimmered as the world sharpened, his line of sight stretching across hundreds of thousands of miles like it was nothing.
It was through the shuttle's viewport that he saw the two that they would be facing today. Mongul himself sat upon a throne of black alloy, the control crown for the Warworld on his head and his arms folded.
Next to him was Starfire, standing stiff with her hands behind her back as a chained collar kept her close to his throne. Her gaze looked distant as she kept her chin low, but he grimaced as he saw her tense shoulders and stance.
"Okay, looks like our fights are on the way," Chris muttered, turning to Match as he stood beside him with crossed arms. "So, you want to take on the woman?"
"If possible. You could beat her, but you're also stronger than me and would be better for Mongul with your TTK."
"True. M'gann, Dubbilex, Raven, you three have the rest of the plan at the ready?"
"At the ready," Raven nodded, wearing a spacesuit with her aura around it to keep the harsh effects of Mars at bay. Dubbilex was wearing the same and M'gann was in her Martian form, used to the harsh climates of her home planet.
"Good, because we only get one shot at this. How goes things with the Genomorphs, Dub?"
"As well as you can. The King of Mars has agreed to let us stay where we are as the second of your requests."
"That's all Match there. You sure you don't want to use it?" Chris asked and Match scoffed, shaking his head.
"No, I'm okay without it. Besides, you used it better than I did."
"I used it the best way I can."
"What is your plan for the final request?" M'gann asked and he chuckled before giving a shrug.
"That one I'm saving for the fight," Chris replied, amused as she rolled her eyes at his response. "All I'm going to say, though, is that it is going to change the very system of Mars as you know it."
"Sure. Fine, keep it to yourself," she huffed, making him smile before Chris turned back and looked at the ship that was beginning to enter Mars' atmosphere.
He knew Mongul could see him as he pointed to the arena that was moved to the surface of Mars in the distance. The ship slowed down for a moment as it turned, continuing on its path towards the arena.
"Well, that's the signal. Match, get ready. Everyone else, stay ready."
"Got it," they all nodded and Chris and Match floated up into the air, flying over to the arena with matching smirks.
It didn't take them long to reach the empty arena/ coliseum, touching down in the centre. The ship slowly descended before its hatch doors opened, Mongul narrowing his eyes as we were the only ones here.
"Where are the rest?"
"Well, the Martians didn't want to put themselves at risk so they decided to hide away in their safe houses," Chris replied before gesturing to the many drones hovering around them. "Of course, they won't miss any of the action thanks to their drones."
"I see," the warlord murmured and Chris nodded before floating back as Match stepped forward.
This drew a look of intrigue from the tyrant as he crossed his arms and spoke, "What is this? Were you not to do battle as well?"
"I am, but we figured that doing them one on one would be better."
"A foolish thought. Many wars are fought en masse with hundreds of millions of warriors and this shall be no different. We shall all fight at the same time."
"Wonderful. Well, then let's ge-!" Chris' eyes widened and he crossed his arms, blocking the heavy blow from Mongul as the behemoth leapt up to him.
The punch made the air tremble and Match turned around, opening his blindspot to Koriand'r as she raised her hand. The clone turned and his eyes widened as he felt the strength fading from his body, gritting his teeth as vibrant green solar energy gathered at her fingertips.
With a grunt, she swung her hands forward, firing off twin bolts of solar energy that impacted his body and sent him flying back. The energy both burned and empowered him, Match gritting his teeth as he flipped over and lunged forward.
Moving to the side as he saw her raising her hands again, Match narrowed his eyes at the scorching heat as another pair of energy bolts flew past.
With a growl, he slammed both fists into the ground before clapping his hands, pushing the dust cloud towards her.
Up above, Chris narrowed his eyes as Mongul's blow pushed him back through a wall, immediately stopping while shooting forward as he watched Mongul clap behind him.
The shockwave created by his move sent him flying forward, but Chris spun to the side as Mongul reached for him. At the same time, his knee moved up into the tyrant's jaw, snapping his head back.
Grabbing onto the back of the tyrant's head, Chris spun and threw him to the ground where Match punched his side, sending Mongul flying into the dust cloud.
Koriand'r shot up from the dust cloud just in time to avoid the tyrant, but her eyes widened as Match flexed his neck and activated his laser vision.
Twin beams of scorching hot plasma fired from his eyes and flew to her, Koriand'r responding with her own beams of plasma that impacted his.
The air rippled as their clash exploded, Koriand'r narrowing her eyes to see Match crouching down. Then, the Kryptonian clone lunged up, but his eyes widened as a broad figure leapt from the dust and grabbed onto his leg.
Mongul looked no worse for wear as he let out a roar, heaving and slamming Match into the ground with enough force to make the arena quake.
The impact knocked the wind from his lungs as the centre of the arena cratered, but as Mongul went for a second hit, Chris slammed into his side like a freight train.
The Kryptonian clone shoulder-bumped him away before surging after the tyrant, who flipped over with a growl. Digging his feet into the ground, he forced himself to stop before planting a heavy blow into Chris' ribs.
It snapped a few apart as Chris activated his TTK through his entire body, sending a pulse through Mongul's hand and snapping one of his fingers.
Neither cared as Chris snapped his ribs back together, Mongul doing the same with his finger while they glared at each other.
"Your resistance is admirable. Futile, but admirable," Mongul sneered and Chris spat a glob of blood to the side with a grin.
"That's funny, I was thinking the same thing about you," he replied and Mongul grunted as he launched himself towards the clone yet again.
Behind them, Match rolled from his crater just in time for Koriand'r to slam into him, her fist crashing into his jaw with enough force to hurl him across the coliseum.
She didn't stop as she fired a barrage of energy bolts, stitching lines of blazing emerald through the air and impacting Match's flailing body with a deafening boom.
The explosions sent him into a wall, but he burst free with a snarl, his eyes glowing a deep crimson as steam was emitted from the points where the bolts impacted his body.
Koriand'r however had already crossed the space between them, her boots digging into his chest and blasting him through the wall this time.
She was a fiery comet as she raced after his ragdolling form, Match snapping back into focus before kicking off the ground and into the air.
As Koriand'r flew after him, the Kryptonian clone spun and block her punch, ducking under her kick before grabbing onto her other leg as she tried another kick.
Her eyes widened before her world blurred as Match began to spin, intense winds picking up as the clone sped up until he threw her at the ground with a roar.
Koriand'r flew with a spiral through the air before impacting the ground miles away from the arena, the impact sending a plume of dust and rock a mile high.
Match grunted as he landed just a few feet from it, the solar rays of the sun restoring his strength. He didn't get more than a moment though as a familiar red blaze shot from the crater.
Swinging her fist, Match caught it with a grunt before grabbing onto her wrist and turning, Koriand'r's eyes widening as she was flung and slammed back first into the ground.
The wind was knocked from her lungs before a leg impacted her side, skipping her across the ground and into a waiting hand that was made out of a black-and-white energy.
Her eyes widened as Raven's spectral appendage gripped her, M'gann floating in front of her with her eyes rolled into the back of her head.
"Wa-" Koriand'r's eyes widened as darkness consumed her, her vision returning to show off the sight of a smiling young woman with auburn-coloured hair and white skin floating in front of her.
"It's okay. You are okay now," the woman whispered and her eyes widened as she hugged her. She wanted to resist, but the warmth she felt from the hug took every bit of fight from her and she hugged the woman back.
"I...endured so much..." she whispered, tears prickling at the corners of her eyes as the warm love pulled her deeper.
"I know. You've endured and now it is time for you to rest," the woman whispered and Koriand'r closed her eyes, letting the comfort pull her into a peaceful slumber.
"Is everything okay?" Match asked as he floated closer, staring at the still Koriand'r as Raven lowered her to the ground.
"Her mind is troubled and she has...undergone a lot, but it can be fixed," M'gann nodded, Raven sharing her grimace. Match just narrowed his eyes at her words, turning to Dubbilex as the Genomorph leader shook his head.
"Go and help our brother. We shall explain later," was the G-Goblin's reply and Match nodded, taking off towards the arena at a blistering pace.

Chris and Mongul collided midair like two planets crashing into each other, the impact creating a shockwave around them that pushed the viewing drones away.
Now with no one to worry about around him, Chris ducked under a swing and countered with a TTK-infused elbow, the sharp blow catching Mongul in the throat.
The blow made the tyrant's eyes bulge before he grinned, swinging his head forward with a vicious headbutt so hard that the air exploded.
Chris was sent crashing into the ground as Mongul descended down like a meteor, the clone rolling aside just in time to avoid the double stomp.
The following shockwave ripped part of the ground up, Mongul turning while grabbing onto a chunk of stone beside him.
"You cannot protect this world!" he growled, hurling it like a missile only for Chris to punch right through with a lunge. Tacking Mongul to the ground, he delivered a harsh blow to the tyrant's forehead that shook the ground beneath them.
"Not! Protecting! It! I'm! Changing! IT!" Each punch was accompanied by a burst of TTK, rattling Mongul's skul before he snarled and caught the final punch.
Chris broke out with a burst of his TTK, his other fist mid-swing and slamming into the side of Mongul's neck with a powerful hook.
Air and earth trembled as the blow drove Mongul to the side, his body carving a crevice before the tyrant rolled to his feet.
"That protective nature is why you will lose," Mongul rumbled, lunging forward as Chris did the same.
Crashing arms first into each other, the shockwave formed from their clash pushed the coliseum asunder, travelling across the landscape.
However, their battle was interrupted by a blur slamming into Mongul's side, blasting the tyrant across the ground as he caught himself.
His head snapped up and stared at Match, who floated beside Chris as the man hummed.
"I'm guessing she's out?"
"Yep."
"So the fool let herself be defeated? No matter, I shall reprimand her on her tactics when I am done here."
"You touch her and we'll rip you apart," Match growled, uncrossing his arms as Mongul gave an amused smile at the clone's anger.
"You will have to stop me your-" With a grunt, Chris punched the ground, kicking up a dust cloud only for Mongul to disperse it in the same moment.
Yet, that was all Match needed as he surged forward, his punch slamming into Mongul's chest and blasting him back. Racing around, Chris caught the warlord before throwing him up, Mongul spinning as Match dove down to him.
Both men swung forward and delivered a vicious hook to each other's jaws, both gritting their teeth only for Chris to come down from above with a double foot stomp.
Adding in a burst of TTK, Mongul crashed into the ground with a deafening boom, Match's eyes lighting up and unleashing a violent storm of plasma down into the dust for good measure.
"Think that was goo-" A roar cut Match off, Chris shaking his head as Mongul slammed his palms together and sent out a devastating shockwave that pushed everything away.
Both raised their arms to block the winds while still keeping on the tyrant, who stared back at them with a frown before he smirked.
"One minute."
"One minute what?"
"In one minute, I will activate the weapons of the Warworld and lay waste to Mars. That is, of course, unless you can stop me."
"And what makes you think we-" Match blinked as Chris held up a hand, stopping him from continuing before the clone cut off his levitation.
Impacting the ground with a heavy thud, Chris stood up while cracking his neck and replied, "You and me, one minute rock-'n-sock-'em."
"What is that?"
"Neither of us move. We just punch each other until one passes out or dies," Chris explained, Mongul's grin widening at the explanation before both walked forward.
The moment they were within range of each other, their fists flashed forward. The air distorted as the blows landed, Chris' knuckles digging into Mongul's jaw while Mongul's fist crashed into Chris' cheekbone.
Both their heads snapped to the side, but both caught themselves before swinging again.
"One!" Mongul barked, his fist hammering into Chris' ribs with a grin.
"Two!" Chris shot back, smashing a hook into the tyrant's temple hard enough to split the skin. Yet, all that did was make Mongul's grin widen, the tyrant immediately firing back with a heavy uppercut that knocked the wind out of Chris.
"Three!" he spoke before his head snapped back thanks to the elbow Chris threw at his jaw.
"Four!" Mongul just shook with a bellowing laugh as his head snapped forward, cracking against Chris' skull with a snap.
"Five!"
"Six!" Chris replied, his fist snapping into the tyrant's sternum.
'What...the hell...is this...?' Match thought with wide eyes as the two titans slugged each other over and over, the hits growing faster with every second.
This...this wasn't a fight. This was...pure and unadultered carnage. Neither cared for the devastating their blows left behind as they continued swinging, both Chris and Mongul uncaring for the blood spraying across the ground in thin arcs.
Chris' vision danced at the edges and Mongul felt the Kryptonian's blows shaking his insides, but both ignored their bodies and continued swinging.
Dust rose around them by the thirty second mark, Mongul's fist driving into Chris' stomach and forcing more air from the clone's lungs.
He just grinned through the pain and answered with an uppercut hard enough to make the tyrant stagger.
'He...made me stumble?' Mongul thought in surprise, swinging a fist that slammed into his shoulder. Yet, Chris was uncaring as he flung his dislocated arm forward, snapping the shoulder back in while landing a vicious blow into the tyrant's ribs.
He gagged at the blow before an uppercut knocked his head back up, delivering a counter that caved Chris' chest in. His eyes widened though as the bones and flesh popped back into place immediately, looking up to see the pride dancing in Chris' eyes.
"I need this!" Chris snarled, swinging a heavy punch into the tyrant's throat while catching a powerful kick to his temple.
For a moment, Chris' eyes grew unfocused and he tethered to the side, making Mongul grin right before the clone snapped back into focus with a roar.
His fist came around and cracked his nose, Mongul openly stumbling back as he caught another vicious throat chop followed by a headbutt.
"You will not deny me my reward!" Mongul roared, pulling his fist back as Chris did the same.
TTK overflowed from his fist as both stepped forward, the tyrant's bellow shaking the ground as he swung forward.
However, his eyes widened as Chris grinned and leapt overhead, feeling the young man grabbing onto the Warworld's control and pulling it away.
"FUCK YOU!" Chris roared as he swung down, the full force of his strength and Tactile Telekinesis erupting against the top of Mongul's skull.
Mongul's skull hit the ground with the sound of a mountain collapse, sending out a shockwave that launched plumes of red dusts miles high while shattering the ground beneath them.
Skidding across the ground from the impact, Chris rolled to a ground, his chest heaving as he picked up the crown and put it on his head.
Immediately, his eyes widened as he felt his mind interlocking with thousands of weapons, taking a slow breath before shutting them all down with a thought.
Looking to the Warworld, he was relieved to see it now in stasis, turning back to Mongul and seeing the tyrant's chest slowly rising and falling.
"Is he dying?" Match asked as he touched down next to Chris, who shook his head with a deep breath.
"No, the punch scrambled his brain. He won't wake up for hours if not days."
"Okay, and the crown?" Match asked as he pointed at the object in question. Chris just grinned as he saw King S'turxx along with dozens of Martian guards filtering out of the ground.
"That, my brother, is incentive for our final request."
"Which is?"
"You'll see," Chris replied, picking up Mongul's body just as Raven, M'gann and Dubbilex landed beside them with Koriand'r being carried by the first.
"Is she stable?"
"Physically? Yes. Mentally?...Hard to say," M'gann murmured and Chris nodded, letting Match take Mongul's unconscious form as King S'turxx landed in front of him.
"I see the battles went well."
"As well as they can, yeah," Chris nodded, to which the King nodded before holding out his hand.
"Good. Now, hand over Mongul and his companion along with the control so that we may get rid of them."
"How about no?" Chris replied, making his friends blink as the King narrowed his eyes.
"What?"
"Yeah. You see, I am a very cautious person at heart and while I would like nothing more than to believe that you would take care of them, they're all staying with me."
"...Is that your final request?"
"Oh, my final request is much more chaotic than that," Chris replied and the King furrowed his brow before everyone's eyes widened at the clone's next words.
"My final request is you making all Martians equal from now until the end of time."
A/N: And we end it off here~! Chris and Match fought their battles, struggled, won and now, we're onto the next arc.
