Her brows furrowed. She reached for her stench weapon, but stopped at thought of having to shower a third time today would be exhausting.
Besides, the water bill was high enough. She decided she would simply keep the interaction brief.

"I hope he isn't looking for another excuse to sleep in here tonight," she grumbled, walking to the door.
She swung it open, standing firmly in the doorway. Zane's softened gaze fell on her, and then he froze.
"Yes?" she asked. "Is there something you need?"
Instead of replying, Zane stood stupefied. The sight of her shimmering skin and the curves revealed by the ivory lace made his Adam's apple bob painfully.
He couldn't remember the last time he had seen her this exposed. His pulse raced, a surge of heat rushing through his veins.
