Meanwhile, Zhang Shaoqing sitting beside him somehow looked even more drained than before.
"Huh?" Wang Jie scratched his head. "I'll pay the money back in a few days."
Having her thoughts exposed so directly, Ning Chu laughed awkwardly.
"It's fine, no rush... Where'd you even get the money from?"
"I didn't have enough, so I had to ask my parents..."

Wang Jie subconsciously covered his kidneys. He always felt that if he married his rabbit-girl girlfriend, his health would probably deteriorate even faster after marriage.
He wasn't even twenty yet and already felt like he'd entered the "turning in marital duties" phase of life. Wouldn't the future be even worse?
After hesitating, he asked, "How about we start running and working out together in the future?"

After chatting for only a little while, the teacher for this class entered the room, and the noisy classroom gradually quieted down.
This teacher was notoriously strict, but the lectures themselves were unbelievably boring. Less than ten minutes into class, Ning Chu was already yawning and zoning out. Restlessly, she hugged Yan Xinya's big tail and took out a pet brush to help groom it.
Every brush stroke pulled out huge clumps of fur. Even lightly tugging at it produced a fluffy handful.
"You're shedding again?"
"Twice a year~" The wolf girl happily rested her chin in both hands, her eyes curved into crescents. "Yeah, a little lower~"
Ning Chu suddenly felt like she'd become a pet owner.
She peeled the thick layer of wolf fur off the brush, rolled it into a little ball, and tossed it at Zhang Shaoqing.
"Are you insane?"
Seeing Zhang Shaoqing annoyed made her absurdly happy.
"Ning Chu, wanna go shopping in a few days? We can buy some summer clothes."
Hearing the wolf girl's invitation, Ning Chu nodded without hesitation.
"Sure."
She happened to not own many summer women's clothes yet, though she still had plenty of men's clothing. It was finally time to start wearing light dresses and similar outfits.
It was already May—soon it would be the season of admiring long bare legs everywhere...
Too bad this summer, she'd be the one getting admired instead.
