The next day the group awoke and spent making final preparations for the raid. Talking to Armand about the tunnels and other things he had built into the main part of the house. What he had heard about the rest of it from people talking. One thing he had heard was that Draco and his girls would be locked into his room until the Dark Lord had been restored. This did not sit well with Ginny but Hermione had taken her to the side and spoken firmly with her.
The others had moved off to eat lunch but Armand asked Harry to stay a moment longer.
"Yes sir?"
"Well I was never knighted so let's just drop that eh? Speak man to man." Armand chuckled.
"Uh okay. Although I'm not feeling much like a man at the moment." Harry sighed.
"What is a man? Someone who steps up and takes care of his family. Who lays his life on the line for the people he cares about, his beliefs. So you're quite the man I would say." Armand looked at him seriously.
Harry smiled slightly, "Uh I guess. Thank you. I'm just worried about this."
"And you think giving the bird to the pope wasn't something one should worry about?" Armand laughed. "The man who made friends with Hessians, Sicilians, had his own army. All you have is a score of self deluded fools against you. And plenty of friends to help you deal with them. So I'd say you are very well off."
"Is that what you wanted to talk to me about?" Harry asked considering Armand's words.
"One of the things. The other was after this is all over. I would like you to help my descendant Draco. He could be so much better than he is right now. He is the product of broken people yet somehow has managed to retain a soul. He will need help growing up to be a good man." Armand observed.
"I suppose we can do what we can. Ginny still likes him."
"He is a good boy at heart. That spark has not been snuffed yet. All it needs is love to fan it again into a fire." Armand was smiling at Harry with a knowing look.
"We have to get rid of the Horcrux and that bond on him before we can do anything else."
"Yes well I'm certain your intelligent young wife will come up with something. If not her then the others in your circle of wise advisors. Now go, enjoy your lunch and be resolute my young warrior friend!" The man said with a salute. "I shall watch the house and report if there is anything unusual."
"Thank you."

"Hey you almost missed lunch. Everything okay?" Dan asked looking at Harry in concern.
"Yes. Armand just wanted to discus a few things." Harry accepted the plate as a distraction.
"Ahh. Yeah. I can see."
Neville sighed, "You know I always figured it would be Ron helping you guys and not me at the end."
"Well we are very glad its you Nev. I can't think of anyone I'd trust than the family I have now." Harry said looking around.
Ginny huffed, "If you trust me so much then why do I have to stay here?"
Hermione gave a frustrated sigh, "We went over this Ginny. We need to keep the group small and able to move quickly. We need to have a."
"No she can come." Harry said suddenly looking at her.
"What?" Hermione spun on Harry.
"She's been practicing her spells. She's been working with us on her training. And one of the things we need to do is rescue Draco."
Neville frowned, "Why do we need to do that?"
"Because Armand thinks Draco has potential to be saved and so do I." Harry said noticing Ginny beaming at him out of the corner of his eye. Hermione was frowning but Harry figured she would. The maternal instinct he had read about must be involved. He had a brief fleeting thought if his dad ever got that kind of frown from his mother.
Neville sighed before shrugging, "Okay what does that do to change the plan?"
"Neville you, Ginny and Lavender will go after Draco. Hermione, Luna and I will go after the cup. Otherwise same as we discussed. Stay quiet, move quick and use as much force as you can to take anyone who attacks us out." Harry declared.
"And Ginny has to do this why?"
"Because Draco talked to me about his house and where his room is." Ginny stated.
Hermione looked between Ginny and Neville before saying in a very firm tone, "Alright but Neville if anything happens to Ginny there is not a corner of the globe that you can hide in."
Neville smiled broadly, "I'll do my best but I'd be more worried for anyone that tries to harm her."
"I'll be fine mother." Ginny huffed.
Harry laughed gently and hollowly, "Alright folks we have a couple hours. Let's go take a break, clear our heads and get ready for this. This is not going to be a game. This is going to be real. We'll need to focus and stay level headed. No matter how much we plan once we cross the threshold we'll be in their zone and will have to make it up on the fly. So stick together, trust yourself, trust each other and be ready for anything."
The others all nodded in agreement.

Harry was standing looking out the window at the grounds. Their view of the Black Lake was magnificent and it was a clear blue day. Hermione stood beside him, putting her hand on his arm, "Harry?"
"Yeah Mione?"
"Are you alright?"
He sighed heavily, "Yeah just the waiting. I don't want to fight anymore but I have to. I have to do the right thing and end this or it'll keep going and our kids." He paused with a small smile, "When we get old enough to have them, will have to have a world where they can live in peace."
Hermione kissed him on the cheek. "I love you Harry. We'll get through this."
"I know. Its just the waiting."
"I know." She said joining him at the window.
===xxx===xx
The group finally gathered ready to go. Armand was consulted one last time and he said everyone had left the house to go do something outside. They were in full regalia and a fine mood. Harry informed Moody about that and he said they were going to deal with them.
Dobby took them to the tunnel entrance and started leading the way.
"Okay this goes into the basement under the main house so be ready."
"Why are we doing this again?" Lavender asked.
"Because if Dobby had taken us into the house directly the other elves would have noticed and they would have alerted the Malfoys." Harry explained again. "They're bound to defend the house at least to the best of their abilities."
"Right. I forgot." Lavender whispered nervously.
Neville patted her hand, "Its okay. I'm lucky to remember my name right now."
"Don't worry guys. I have faith in you to do good." Harry flashed them a smile then moved forward into the tunnel. His wand lighting the small area around them.
===xxx===xx
Reaching the basement the small group looked around at the rough stone walls and low ceiling. It looked and smelled like this place had not been used in some time. Moving carefully they came to a set of stone stairs going up.
Nodding Harry took the lead until they reached a landing. More modern stairs continued upwards while a door opened outward.
"This should be the ground floor. The drawing room with the cup is on this floor. Ginny where is Draco's room?"
"Its on the second floor. So two floors up."
"Alright. Hopefully the aurors are dealing with the Death Eaters. Still be careful and keep your eyes open." Harry reminded everyone.
===xxx===xx
Carefully opening the door they found themselves in an ornate corridor in a large stone section of the manor house. It was the central stone building that was originally built by Armand in 1080. there were a few secret passages among the walls. Using those and sneaking through corridors Harry, Hermione and Luna soon reached the drawing room.
Coming out from behind a tapestry the three teens stood in front of the curio cabinet. The goblet sat quietly on its shelf bathed in a light, glinting calmly at them.
Harry stared at it carefully, "It seems so harmless. Without that part in my head trying to scratch at it, it looks like any other fancy curio."
"Yes well, don't forget its got a part of him in it and you need to destroy it." Hermione pointed out.
"And to do that we will need to get through the protections on it." Luna said looking at the curio cabinet and waving her wand in airy random movements it looked like. "They do not have anything deadly on it. A petrification curse, and an alarm charm." She said in her normal dreamy voice.
"Great. So let's get them dropped without setting them off." Hermione said casting a couple of her own spells. Working with Luna to unweave the web of spells over the cabinet. Harry worriedly watched the door as he heard the battle engaged far in the distance. His fingers dancing on the hilt of the sword.
===xxx===xx
Reaching the second floor they came out of the passage in a small closet. "Okay its down the corridor on the left from the top of the main stairs."
"How do you know where Draco's bedroom is?" Lavender asked with a slight teasing tone.
"Now is not the time Lav."
"Sorry I just find it interesting." Lavender shrugged.
"Because Draco described his home to me. I wondered what a big manor house like this was like and he told me." Ginny said with a shrug and a tone in her voice that sounded like there was more to the story.
"So anyhow. Lets go." Neville said once he made sure the corridor was clear. Walking down the opulent high ceiling corridor Neville was disgusted by how vulgarly the Malfoys displayed their wealth. He lived in a manor house too but his family kept things sedate and tasteful, compared to the Malfoys. Some muggle paintings that had been thought lost hung on the walls. Pieces of artwork and ornate statuary lined the hall. He was walking across a carpet when he suddenly realized he was sinking into it up to his shins.
"Damn a Persian Quick Rug. I've heard of these." He grumped.
"What do we do?" Lavender exclaimed.
"Give me a minute." Neville stood perfectly still as he sank another few inches. He remembered his uncle Algie talking about these and the more you struggled the quicker you sank. Looking around he saw an exposed beam and using his wand to create a long length of rope from it tried to wrap it around the beam. It took him a few tries but soon he was hauling himself out of the rug and hanging in mid air. Swinging back and forth he soon leapt past the end of the rug and landed with a soft thud.
"Great. Good job." Lavender proudly said before she took a suit of armor and transfigured it into a long narrow beam that ran over the rug. "Shall we?"
Ginny smiled and nimbly ran across the beam followed by Lavender. The two girls landing by Neville who had taken the rope and turned it into three staves. "Poke anything that looks suspicious before stepping on it."
They found two more carpets before they came to a door that had someone standing outside it. Jumping back into an alcove they conferred quickly.
Ginny dove across the hallway behind a suit of armor and pulled a hammer from further down the corridor towards her as Lavender stepped out and said loudly "Yoohoo!" As she blew the guard a kiss and cast the disarming spell on him. He stepped out to try and grab his wand as the hammer flew into the back of his head. The resounding thunk caused him to spin off balance allowing Neville to take them down with an incarcerous. The three teens celebrated as they ran up to the door they had been guarding.
Checking it for traps they removed a pair of charms, including the locking charm. Ginny rattled the knob to no avail as it was locked using the muggle method too. Ginny didn't bother trying to unlock it as she used a blasting charm to just remove the knob and part of the door, and frame.
Pushing the door open she was met by Daphne Greengrass who was holding a lamp over her head like a Viking warclub.
"Uh hi. We're here to rescue you." Ginny quickly said holding her hands up.
"Just the three of you?" Daphne asked lowering the lamp only slightly.
"No Harry and the others are downstairs getting the cup dealt with."
===xxx===xx
They had just managed to get the curio cabinet opened and were getting ready to use a nearby curtain to pull the cup out without touching it when the doors to the drawing room opened and Luna was knocked sideways by a curse. Her arm and leg bones shattering with a horrific snapping sound. Hermione spun and barely managed to parry another spell coming at her. Harry took the sword and batted one into the ceiling before he dove off to the side behind a nearby wingback chair.
"Potter. You filthy little bastard!" Narcissa spat as she strode into the room. She fired a spell at the chair causing it to disintegrate in a whiff of smoke. Harry fired a spell back at her which she parried as he dove tot he right once more. He dropped the sword as he rolled behind the couch.
Hermione tried to fire a spell at her but had it batted back causing her to drop to the floor as the stunner hit her instead.
"Did you really think children would be able to compete with fully trained and experienced adults? I participated in the raids. I enjoyed them, I never felt so alive." She said flinging a bone breaker at Hermione's crumpled form shattering both shinbones.
"Look truce? Maybe we can come to terms?"
Narcissa laughed. "The only terms I have for you is you coming out and taking your death like a good little boy. Although if you want to see your pretty pretty little friends hurt more I have no problem with that." She said casting a spell on Luna that caused her to writhe and the bone pierce her arm.
Harry screamed, "Stop it. Stop it. I surrender."
"Good, now come out and let me play with you a bit first. Bella has such wonderful ideas you know."
"Harry stood up carefully and walked into the room checking Luna who was crumpled holding her arm trying to staunch the bleeding.
"I will torture you until you're a rutabaga like that little bastard Longbottom's parents." Narcissa said coming over to clench Harry's face with her hand. "Bella did such wonderful work on them."
She put her wand under Harry's chin when there was a shouted, "Diffindo!" from the doorway.
Narcissa went to turn her head and body to see who it was only her head began to tilt and fall in different directions as it began to separate from her body. Apparently Neville had not exactly sliced on an even stroke and it was quartered as well as sliced off a the neck. Neville was standing in the doorway with a very grim and cold expression as he stood there unmoving and unblinking.
Harry swallowed hard before nodding to Neville and retrieving the sword ran the cup through while it was still in the curio cabinet. The screaming cloud of dark and evil smoke that issued forth caused the sword to tremble and vibrate in Harry's hand for a split second before the cup, the cabinet and the room spun and he fell to the floor.

Harry woke up to the smells of the Hospital wing once again. He groaned and a warm hand was rubbing his forehead a moment later. The smell of the soap and perfume matched that of Emma, so when he opened his eyes the blurry form of his mother in law swam into view.
She handed him his glasses as he struggled to sit up, "Easy now. You hit your head pretty hard when that thing exploded."
"Hermione? Luna? Are they okay?"
"Well they had to have their bones regrown and Luna needed a bit extra work but they're on the mend. Asleep or I'm sure they'd be clamoring for information about you."
Harry looked across the room and saw Draco sitting asleep in one of the chairs. Daphne standing stiffly nearby. He smiled at her and she nodded back.
"Is it over?" He hoarsely asked.
"Well according to Ms Bones there is one little task left for you to do then its over. He'll be gone for good." Emma sighed, "Then you two can finish school and grow up and do what you want with your lives."
Harry chuckled happily. "I'd like that."
"Now since there are a couple of people that have been patiently waiting for you to wake up I'll go let everyone know you're back among the living." She said pulling a large glass of water over for him.
"Thanks mom." He said smiling at her.
Emma paused then smiling warmly at Harry squeezed his hand and walked out. He thought he heard a slight sniffle.
Daphne came over along with Draco. "Harry. Thank you. Even if we can't get rid of this bond I'll owe you and your family a lot. Ginny told me what happened. How Dobby found Armand and brought him to you."
"Yeah. This can be a new start eh? A new Malfoy family."
"Considering how Neville took mum out and Dear ol dad blew his brains out rather then be captured. That makes me an orphan too now I guess." Draco snorted at the irony of saying that.
"I'm sorry it had to come to that."
"Well mum was bragging about Aunt Bella doing Longbottom's parents. So rather understandable."
"Is he okay?" Harry inquired.
"Yeah I guess. His other two brides were comforting him last I heard." Daphne wryly said.
"So he'll be okay. How about you guys?"
Draco took a deep breath and looked over to Ginny before shrugging, "That depends on what happens next."
Harry nodded as they shared a moment of quiet contemplation before the adults came in to check them, to debrief them. To discus matters of great importance.
===xxx===xx
Hermione was walking beside him down a dark corridor behind Madam Bones and Sirius Black. Sirius was acting as Harry's advocate today but the task he was going to have to do really didn't need any advocacy.
Hermione squeezed his hand causing him to smile at how she had recovered. Claiming she felt even better than before. Luna had recovered too although she sometimes affected a limp to get Neville to carry her. Not that Neville minded much.
They entered a large amphitheater with a strange stone arch in the middle of it. There was a gently wafting lacy curtain across the opening. Moving and drifting back and forth even though there was no breeze.
Approaching it harry felt a cold shiver go down his spine as he felt more than heard a chorus of whispering voices coming from the other side of the veil.
"Hey Harry. You okay?" Sirius stopped a few feet away from the veil.
"What is that?" Hermione asked in dread.
"Its called the door to death's domain. Death's Door for short. It predates the ministry. Might predate the Romans. Who knows. It was here when they got to London. Anyone that goes through, well they don't come back." Sirius coldly said with a shiver.
"And they want me to toss it through there?"
"Yep. That's it." Sirius nodded.
Harry swallowed and moved over to Moody, Muldoon and a squad of auror who were surrounding a small crate. The crate rattled and shifted on occasion with strange loud unpleasant sounds coming from whatever was within.
"Ye ready boyo?" Muldoon asked with a grim smile.
"I suppose."
"There'll be nuttin to it. We'll stun it then you toss it."
Harry remembered the one summer at the Burrow before second year when he and Ron de-gnomed the garden. A brief moment of grief at the loss of Ron, of how he had betrayed him and turned out to not be the boy he thought he had been followed the happy memory. Harry wondered how it would have turned out if Ginny hadn't been broken.
"Harry?" Sirius' hand was resting gently on his shoulder. "You with us?"
"Yeah. Just thinking." Harry flashed a awkward uncertain smile then nodded at Moody and Madam Bones.
"Okay Harry. We don't need to rush this." Amelia said gently. One of the few times Harry had heard her speak softly.
"I'm ready. I want to just get this over with. Get on with my life."
Moody nodded as they pulled the lid off the crate. Throwing multiple stuns and sleep spells whatever had been inside the box became quiet. Moody reached in and pulled out something that was about a foot long and uglier than any gnome Harry had ever seen. It was shriveled and looked unreal. Like someone had taken a doll, coated it in human flesh then set it on fire before dunking it in snake scales.
"That's disgusting." he heard Hermione hiss from behind him.
Taking a deep breath harry took the cold thing in hand and turned toward the arch. Swinging it experimentally a few times he lined up with the opening and tossed the thing through. It hit the curtain and slowly faded from view with a soft silk on silk gliding noise.
Harry stood there staring at the arch for a moment as he thought he saw just after the creature thing went through the single figure of a sadly smiling red haired boy waving at him. It was there for just a moment before it too faded. Harry shook his head walking over to Hermione and taking her hand headed for the door silently.
There was no celebration, no ceremony. No more notice was given to the vents of that day than if Harry had taken the trash out to the curb. He would remember it until he was an elderly man but would never speak of it.
===xxx===xx
It had been several weeks and Christmas break was upon them. Draco, his wives, the Potters and Grangers had gathered in the hospital wing with the relevant adults. Madam Pomfrey, Minerva McGonnegal, Sirius, Remus, and Healer Masterson. There was a table with some cloth covered equipment on it.
"So what is all this about Potter?" Draco sneered more out of habit than any heat as he smiled after he leaned against the bed.
"Well Dad came up with an idea that I researched and we have a way out of your bond with Daphne and Astoria. If you really still want out of it."
"As nice as Daphne is we really would not want to try and force anything." Draco earnestly said nodding, "In other words yes We all most definitely absolutely want out."
Hermione smiled as Ginny grinned at Draco. "Okay well then we think we have a way to do so."
Daphne frowned, "The only way out of the ritual is for one party to it must die."
"And that's what we'll do. We'll kill Draco." Hermione said with a grin.
"Wait a second there Potterette. That's not a very good solution to the problem. Especially if you want Ginny and I to start dating."
"Dad maybe you can explain." Hermione turned to her father.
"Okay. Among muggles we do something called open heart surgery. Sometimes the arteries going to the heart get clogged and they need replaced, heart valves stop working, all kinds of stuff. Well since you can't work on the heart while its beating doctors use drugs or a brief electric shock to stop the heart. Work on it as quickly as they can then using drugs and a brief electric shock if need be get it going again."
"I thought you worked on people's mouths?"
"We do. But we still have to know at least the basics about all the rest of the body and medical practices." Emma explained.
"Okay so you think you can stop my heart then start it back up. How's that going to help us?" Draco was confused and uncertain but still working on it. Daphne was looking at them with suspicion.
"Yeah that's the plan. Because magically speaking as long as your heart is beating you are alive. When your heart stops beating you're considered dead by magic. Since there is no magic that can heal a heart or start a heart beating once it stops." Hermione lectured them. Draco glanced at the healers who nodded.
"So I contacted a few friends of mine at Saint Andrews medical in London and we got a few pieces of equipment together here." Dan said pulling the sheet off the cart which held a defibrillator, EKG machine and several cardiac needles. "We studied the relevant materials since we can't kidnap a cardiologist, according to the Ministry, to come do this but Emma and I are pretty sure we can handle this."
"If not I will apparate to London with your body Mr Malfoy and you will receive treatment in the emergency ward at Saint Andrews from the muggle doctors." Minerva promised.
"Trust me I've practiced this several times Draco. And I've always wanted to play with one of these." Dan said caressing the machine with a maniacal grin. "And its not like we got the machine that goes ping."
When only Emma, Hermione and Harry laughed Dan grumbled, "Tough room."
Draco looked into Potter's eyes, "If our roles were reversed would you trust this crazy scheme?"
Harry thought for a moment then nodded, "Yeah. Hermione, Dan and Emma all know what they're talking about. I'd do this."
"Well considering how Daphne already promised she'd kill me if I ever tried anything with her or Astoria I'm not missing much. What do I need to do?" He asked Dan.
"Well take your shirt off and lay down on the bed." Dan said as Emma wheeled the cart next to them.
"You might want to get changed Minerva if this goes bad." Dan said pulling on some rubber gloves."
Minerva nodded and was soon wearing a uniform of some sort.
Emma looked her up and down before asking, "You know what to say?"
Minerva frowned but said, "The patient was cyanotic and unresponsive, pupils are dilated and fixed. We tried pulmonary stimulation but there was no response."
"Okay. That's good. Now Doctor are you ready?" Emma said snapping her gloves on as well.
"Yes I am doctor."
They attached several leads to Draco's chest and soon there was a slight beeping sound from the machine
"Okay. Give me the hydrox compound."
Daphne had sidled over to Hermione when they began, "So what is all this?"
"Well Dad's going to inject a special potion Sirius develop that triples the oxygen in the person's cells and blood. This will let Draco have a better chance while his heart is stopped.
When that was injected Draco was slightly flushed.
Dan smiled, "Alright now the lets drop his temperature okay?" As he and Emma stepped back.
Minerva cast a freezing spell on Draco whose lips turned blue as he began to shiver. The EKG machine started showing his heart beat was faster.
"Okay still a good sinus rhythm so lets kill him." Dan said holding his hand out. Emma sighed and gave Dan a needle.
Daphne looked at Hermione who whispered, "That's the medicine that'll stop his heart. Its a cardiopelgiac solution."
Daphne nodded and turned back to study the process.
Dan finished injecting the solution directly into Draco's chest. Within seconds Draco began to gasp as the EKG showed a rapidly slowing heartbeat until it stopped and a flat line progressed from left to right across the screen with a loud steady beep.
"Okay flat-line start the timer." Emma called out. Harry hit the stopwatch.
Daphne and Astoria both dropped tot heir knees at the same moment Draco flat-lined. Hermione knelt beside her, "Daphne?"
"I'm okay. I just feel like something's being pulled from me. It's fading though."
Looking at Astoria she nodded.
"Ten seconds." Harry called out.
Astoria was looking calm and standing on her own. Daphne had come back to her feet and nodded at Hermione, "I feel okay I think."
"Twenty seconds."
"Okay. Give me the Adrenalin and charge the paddles." Dan called out. "Minerva warm him up." Things began to move quicker as Dan injected the needle into Draco's heart. Minerva cast a warming charm on Draco as Emma turned switches on the other machine causing a high pitched whine to build.
"Okay hit em."
Emma put the paddles on his chest and calling clear hit the triggers. Draco's body jumped on the bed. "Thirty seconds" Harry called out.
"Up the juice." Dan called beginning to do CPR on Draco.
"Charging. Ready." Putting the paddles Dan backed off. "Clear" She called as she hit the triggers.
A few stuttering beeps came from the EKG machine.
"Forty Seconds" Harry called out.
"Up it." Dan called doing the compressions again.
They repeated the process again this time there was a sustained beeping from the machine.
Emma studied it for a moment before saying, "He's got a steady Sinus rhythm. I think he's back."
Draco gave a slight groan, "Whoa. That sucked."
Harry clicked the stopwatch as everyone relaxed in relief and started congratulating Dan and Emma on their procedure. Ginny went to Draco and held his hand as he weakly smiled at her.
===xxx===xx
The next several years proved that the process had worked. Draco and Ginny dated and studied and occasionally kissed as they got older. All within the bounds of an acceptable behavior as Harry pointed out Draco had been dead once and could be again if he hurt Ginny. Although both boys knew there was no real malice in Harry's comments just a father doing his duty.
The department of Mysteries and the Ministry once word of the procedure got back to them came to talk to Dan and Emma who were soon describing muggle medicine at Saint Mungo's to other healers. The advances in heart, spine, brain and eye surgeries amazed the healers as for whatever reason magic could not treat those organs.
Emma decided to go back to university and become a full fledged Medical Doctor. A career path Harry followed once he left Hogwarts. Doubling it up with a magical Healer's training so he could work in either world. Dan enjoyed teaching and stayed at Hogwarts. Working with the other professors to make sure that magicals would understand the muggle world was not that much different than the magical world at heart.
Hermione studied law and became a solicitor and advocate for change in the Wizengamut. Working in the wizarding world but making sure she was certified to work in the muggle world for those who needed help there as well. Her and harry had three more children after Ginny. One more than she had planned but what could one do when twins decided to show up.
Ginny and Draco settled down with Draco joining Harry in the healer training program. Leaving the busting of heads to his auror wife he would say.
Neville never really did get around to choosing just one of the girls, all now grown into fine women, to be his wife. Living with all three of them and having multiple children he was a proud and happy father. His lifestyle as a quiet gentleman farmer and herbologist blending quite well with Luna's editing the Quibbler and hunting magical animals. Lavender running a bed and breakfast as well as being a midwife while Susan joined Hermione's law firm.
===xxx===xx
Harry was grilling dinner on August 31st 2020. Their kids running around with Neville's large brood at their home in Hogsmeade. Neville and his wives trying to keep them from at least not destroying the house or each other too badly. Dan and Emma laughing and watching the kids play, occasionally ducking as one zoomed by on the brooms Harry had provided.
Ginny Malfoy came huffing over her large pregnant belly rounded under her T-shirt as Draco hovered nearby. Her shirt saying aurors do it in pairs made harry laugh and shake his head.
"Hey dad. When's dinner going to be ready?"
"Why you're not in labor are you?" He suddenly became serious.
"No. Luna says junior will be here on the fifth so I have a few days."
"Okay sweetie but you should still relax." Hermione hovered. Her maternal instinct undulled by her oldest going into his first year at Hogwarts.
"I know mom. I'm still hungry though."
"Well go get comfortable and I'll call when the steaks are ready."
"Fine dad." Ginny gave him a hug then with Draco's arm around her shuffled back to the picnic table and her grandparents. Hermione walking with her talking about the plans for the baby. Her first grandchild.
Harry smiled watching the chaos of the kids and people and family. He had a home, a good life after all.
