Chapter 1005 - Chapter 8: Meeting the Parents

The weekend arrived too soon for Harry. Sunday morning, after their exercise, Elsa helped Harry choose his best clothes to wear when meeting her parents. It didn't help his nerves to notice that she was also a bit apprehensive of the meeting, although, he assumed, for different reasons. He was barely able to eat breakfast, and then Elsa took his hand in hers and they walked together to the gate.

Even from a distance, Harry had no difficulty finding Elsa's family. Her mother and her two sisters had practically the same hair colour and facial features. Yet Harry feared meeting her father the most.

"Maman, Papa, this is Harry Potter, who has become a very good friend since we met. Harry, these are my parents, Elouise and Gerard DuValais, and my sisters, Claudette and Emmanuelle. Claudette is fifteen and Emmanuelle is nine, although it's hard to tell."

Harry thought that her mother and her elder sister looked quite similar, both being not much taller than Harry. Emmanuelle, though, was already much taller, almost as tall as her father, despite her young age. Her childish features, though, showed she was very young, regardless of her height.

Mme. DuValais hugged Harry as if he was her son. "I'm glad to meet you, Harry. Anybody who makes my daughter happy is welcome."

Claudette let him kiss her hand, looking quite bored. She probably didn't think of him as anything more than a young boy, too young to be of interest to her, Harry thought. Emmanuelle shook his hand and blushed. "Nice to meet you," she said, her accent quite heavy.

Gerard DuValais waited for the girls to leave Harry alone before shaking his hand. "I'm glad to meet you, Lord Potter. My daughter seems to be very interested in you. I hope to find out how interesting you really are."

"Why do you call me Lord Potter?" Harry asked.

"Isn't that your name?" The man sounded either confused or amused; Harry wasn't sure which.

"Well, I'm Harry Potter, but I know nothing about Lord."

Gerard frowned. "Didn't your guardian inform you that as the last of your house you are entitled to be emancipated at twelve and take your title as well?"

"My guardian is mu...," Harry started.

"Not your uncle! Your other guardian should have told you and should have taught you about all the responsibilities that come with that title."

"I don't know who my other guardian is."

"That should be easy to find. If you allow me, I'll find out and tell you when we next visit. Now, do you mind showing us to your cabin?"

Harry wasn't sure that letting her parents, her whole family really, see the way they shared a cabin was a good idea, yet Elsa seemed quite eager to show them.

"Harry was alone after his cabin mates left, as we were sure they would. I took advantage of the empty beds and moved in with him. You know I like some extra space to spread my stuff on."

"That you sure do, and the fact that Harry is a handsome guy didn't come into consideration at all," her mother teased her.

"It didn't. I felt my... attraction to him the moment he just introduced himself on the first day." Harry was sure she refrained from mentioning Magic as they were walking quite close to other campers.

Harry unlocked the door and let them in. As soon as he closed the door, Elsa and her sisters started removing their clothes. He wondered if he should do the same, yet noticing that her parents stayed clothed, he decided to follow their example. It was safer, especially as Claudette was already a very sexy young woman.

"Oh, they put only four beds in here," her mother noted.

"We only use one anyway," Elsa said innocently as if it was normal for a girl her age to sleep in the same bed as a boy.

"But you're not..."

"No, Maman, we only cuddle together and fall asleep. I sleep much better with him at my side. I may consider some other activities next year."

Harry blushed at her words.

"Do you mind moving a bit away from the girls?" Gerard asked Harry quietly.

Reluctantly, Harry moved with him to the farthest corner, each grabbing a chair from the table.

"What did she tell you about her magic?" Gerard asked.

"She mentioned she had inherited some traits from her mother. One is that her magic chooses her mate regardless of her will. Another is the way she reacts to water. Is there any more?"

Gerard sighed. "Quite a bit more, although she may not be aware of it yet." He stopped to gather his thought. "You see, Lord Potter, my wife is a Veela, making our daughters also Veela. You won't find very much about Veela in any library, though, as most of the information is kept secret. What you will find is that Veela are not considered human by some governments, including the British Ministry, although they are more human and more humane than most. Veela are creatures of love and of fire. They are usually very beautiful and considered very sexy, although, once they find their mates, they lose interest in any other man. When enraged, they can turn into a kind of half-bird and use balls of fire as a weapon. Another bit that is known is the Veela Allure – a kind of magic that makes everybody around them attracted to them beyond any reasoning. It may turn most men and many women into blubbering idiots, while active. A Veela would find a mate who is immune to her allure, though."

"I think I'm too young to judge how attractive she is," (Gerard snorted at that,) "but I know I like her. Elsa is kind and smart, and I consider these qualities more important than her looks, although she's also the most beautiful girl in camp."

Gerard smiled at him. "I can see why her magic may choose you as her mate." He then frowned. "You should also know that having a Veela mate is quite a responsibility, as she will need to be with you quite often for her whole life. It's easier if you marry her, yet as a Lord, you need to have heirs, and Veela only have daughters, unless their mates are extremely powerful wizards. Are you powerful?"

Harry shrugged. "How would I know? I think I'm about average in class."

"Well, in that case, you need somebody else to be your Lady Potter. Elsa can then be your second wife, if the Lady agrees, or just a mistress."

"A second wife – that's illegal!" Harry blurted.

Gerard smiled. "It is – in the muggle world. The magical world has different laws, and this situation is just an example of why they need to stay different." He then turned serious. "I believe that Elsa would like nothing better than to marry her mate and be his only love, just like my wife and I are. Needing a male heir is a complication many Veela need to tackle. If you are really her chosen mate, then she will understand and will not demand more than she absolutely needs to survive, namely – to be with you once every few weeks. Still, if you can make her your wife, even if she has to accept another as your main wife, it would be much better."

He then sighed. "Well, this may just turn out irrelevant in a few months, if she eventually finds that her magic didn't really choose you. Claudette's magic has not found a mate for her yet, and she's older than Elsa."

As they joined the girls, Elsa urged him, "Harry, you look much better without clothes. Don't you like to undress?"

With Elsa and her sisters looking at him so expectantly, it was just impossible for him to refuse. He quickly removed all his clothing. Elsa moved a bit to let him sit at her side. Harry still felt uncomfortable. Claudette was lying on the adjacent bed, her limbs spread apart as if trying to get as much exposure to air as possible. This also made all her intimate regions fully exposed in front of him, making his body react quite strongly. He couldn't even hide it with clothes.

Emmanuelle didn't pay him much attention, yet Claudette did notice. "He may be interesting for me in a year or two," she noted leisurely from her perch.

"Look for your own mate," Elsa told her, only half joking. "Harry is mine!"

"Are you sure, dear?" her mother asked.

Elsa shrugged. "I feel all warm and fuzzy when he is with me or even when he just looks into my eyes. Isn't that the initial sign of my bonding to him?"

"It may be, but teenage infatuations may have a similar effect, you know," her mother said gently.

"I also get such feelings when I touch her or look her in the eyes," Harry offered.

Elsa looked at him, her surprise evident. Her mother only nodded. "It does look like you're forming a bond, yet it's too early to know for sure. Only time will tell."

Elsa wouldn't budge. "By this time, next year, we shall be a couple."

"What's the hurry?" Claudette asked. "I'm older than you and I don't feel any need to be with any boy or man." Yet she moved her legs farther apart, fully exposing her feminine entrance for Harry.

Elsa shrugged. "I didn't feel any need either until I met Harry. The only thing that keeps me from becoming immediately his is the fact that my body is not ready yet."

Harry noticed her father mumbling, "Thank goodness for little favours."

With that topic practically exhausted, they moved to others. Elsa told her parents of the activities offered and the ones she had already taken. She told them about Zoe and the way she also wanted her share of Harry. Her mother laughed. "Let her enjoy him as long as she can. Once you get your adult proportions, no normal girl would be able to compete with you, especially if you use your allure."

Claudette commented then, "Harry is immune to the allure, Maman."

"How do you know?"

"I've been blasting him with my full allure since we closed the door, and all I got for my effort is a nice erection, only in response to my naked body, but nothing more. He's going to be a good Veela mate, to Elsa or to someone else."

Harry blushed crimson. Although he was getting accustomed to seeing Elsa nude, her elder sister was certainly very attractive and he couldn't control his body.

"Don't mind her, Harry. She's a terrible tease sometimes, and your reaction is very natural, especially at your age," Gerard told him. "Now, girls, you need to get dressed again. It's almost lunchtime and we can't stay here for lunch."

Harry felt relieved. As much as he enjoyed the view, he felt more comfortable when Claudette was a bit covered.

As they escorted the visitors back to the gate, Gerard told Harry, "I'm going to check who your other guardian is and learn all I can about your legal position. I'll also try to make your uncle send you to us for the remainder of the vacation after the camp is over. He may like it better, not having to deal with you, and you will certainly enjoy it more."

"Thank you, sir. I'd like it a lot." Yet Harry didn't put much hope in that. Going to camp was already more of a surprise than he had ever expected.

A very confused house-elf looked at No. 4 Privet Drive. He was sure that he had cast the mail redirection ward correctly. He had even checked it by sending something. Yet no mail was redirected except for his test letter. Was Harry Potter so friendless? Dobby wouldn't believe it.

Turning himself invisible, he silently popped into the house. A fat man and a thin woman were watching the television.

"My sister is due here tomorrow afternoon," the man said.

The woman grimaced. "With that boy out of the house, I hope her visit would not cause any problems. She seems to like Dudley."

"Of course she likes him. He's a normal boy, as he should be, not a freak like..."

"Vernon! He's still my sister's child. We may not like him, but he's all I have of her."

"He can't say we're treating him bad now, can he? We've sent him to that summer camp, didn't we? I was lucky to be able to put him in as a charity case, so it costs us nothing."

"Of course, dear. I never doubted your business prowess."

A summer camp? Dobby had no idea what it could be or where. At least that sounded like something Harry Potter would like. Well, Dobby could use other means to stop Harry Potter from going to Hogwarts, where it would be too dangerous.

Dobby clicked his fingers and faded away. Only Petunia heard it, but she thought it was a cricket in the yard.
