I. The Route to the Unknown
The path north grew increasingly difficult. Akihiko and Kaede walked with determination, but the feeling of emptiness surrounding them with every step intensified . Each kilometer brought them closer to the source of the chaos, but also plunged them into an ominous silence . The landscape became ever more inhospitable , marked by fractures that unraveled reality itself.
The void seemed to expand as they advanced, affecting not only the land , but also the minds of those who came too close to its center . Though they could not see it, the presence was there, enveloping their thoughts and transforming every body and soul it touched.
Kaede walked in silence, but her gaze was darker than usual. The void wasn't just disrupting the city and the world they knew. It was disrupting something much deeper: their own beliefs .
" Akihiko..." Kaede said suddenly, her voice filled with a pessimism she rarely displayed. "Do you really think there's anything we can do? I don't know if we can... stop this. Everything we've done so far has only dealt with the consequences of something much bigger."
Akihiko looked at her, knowing that Kaede had touched on an uncomfortable truth . They had come a long way, but the question facing them both was: What could they do to stop something that was already too deeply ingrained in reality itself ?
" I know, Kaede," Akihiko replied , his voice serious, though a hint of doubt lingered in his eyes. "I don't know if we can stop it, but I can't just let everything fall apart without fighting for something. The void has been here long before us, but that doesn't mean we don't have the power to change anything."
Kaede looked at him silently, knowing that Akihiko had made a decision . They couldn't let the void take over the world, but the question remained: What could they do ?
II. The Vision of the Future
Night fell quickly, and with it, an eerie chill filled the air. Lighting a small fire, Akihiko and Kaede sat in silence, watching the flames dance as darkness enveloped them.

The city was completely empty , with once-prosperous ruins lying in desolation. A future where the void had consumed not only the structures , but also the lives , the memories , and the very purpose of everything.
The vision shook him, and Akihiko stood up, agitated. The feeling that everything they were doing was only bringing them closer to this inevitable future overwhelmed him.
Kaede looked at him, worried by the change in his attitude .
" Akihiko... what happened?" he asked, his voice filled with concern .
" I saw… I saw what the void will do if we don't do something," he replied, his voice trembling. "It's a future we've all failed to create. Where the void wins."
Kaede said nothing, but her face reflected the same concern . Was Edenfall truly destined to be an empty city, or was there still something they could do to change its course?
Akihiko couldn't help but feel that, perhaps, the void was no longer just an external force . It had begun to change him as well.
III. The Encounter with the Root of Emptiness
As they traveled north, the landscape grew stranger . The distortions increased as they approached the epicenter of the void. In the distance, Akihiko could see what appeared to be a deep cavern , hidden among the mountains, its interior shrouded in a dense mist emanating from it.
Kaede looked at Akihiko , wondering if they should enter that dark place, but he was already moving forward. He knew the root of the void wasn't beyond their reach, and facing the unknown was the only thing left for them to do.
As they entered the cavern, the air grew thick and silent . The emptiness was palpable in every corner, as if the cavern itself were breathing . The walls dripped a dark substance , and the echo of their footsteps reverberated in a way that made them feel smaller.
Finally, they reached the center of the cavern , where a rock formation rose like a dark, all-encompassing pillar , emanating a force that enveloped them. At its center, a sphere of energy floated, pulsating as if it were the very heart of the distortion.
The void was there, concentrated. The origin was right in front of them.
Kaede looked at Akihiko .
—What do we do now? — she asked, her voice full of doubt .
Akihiko closed his eyes, feeling the pressure of the sphere in front of him. The void watched them, daring them to make a decision .
" We're going to stop him," he finally replied, his voice filled with resolve . "No matter what it takes. We'll stop him here."
