League Two Matchday: Crawley Town vs. Shrewsbury Town
The morning session was quiet at Broadfield. Frost still covered parts of the training pitch, and most of the players were taking it easy after the win over Wycombe.
Nate's injury was still on everyone's mind. He would be out for around three weeks, leaving Kieron Marsh with a bigger role in midfield.
In the dressing room, Max spoke first.
"Nate would want us focused," he said. "We've got Shrewsbury tonight."
Korey nodded. "We need to keep the momentum going."
Kieron sat quietly, listening. He had done well after coming on against Wycombe, but this would be a different test.
Niels walked in and looked around the room.
"Forget Wycombe for now," he said. "We got the points, but it cost us Nate. Tonight is about doing the job without him."
He looked at Kieron.
"You're going to have more responsibility. Keep it simple, work hard, and trust the players around you."
