In Wigan's dressing room, Leo sat quietly while he finished getting ready.
The medication had helped, but he still did not feel like himself.
Dawson walked over as the players finished their preparations.
He stopped in front of Leo and looked at him for a moment.
"How are you feeling?"
Leo adjusted the bottom of his shirt and then nodded.
"Better."
"That's not what I asked."
Leo looked up at him and then gave up, sighing.
"I'm tired, but I'll be fine."
Dawson held his gaze before agreeing.
"You tell me if that changes."
"I will."
The manager nodded, although the look on his face made it clear he wasn't completely convinced.
"Good."
He turned away, and Leo followed the rest of the players toward the tunnel.
Villa Park was already loud.
The home supporters had been building toward this game all week, but the Wigan end had made sure they could hear them.
