"If you can't handle your liquor, don't drink."
Jiang Chen looked speechlessly at Xiao Luoxue, who was sprawled in his arms. Just as he finished speaking, Ling Wanqiu suddenly tumbled into his embrace as well.
The two of them didn't exactly stay still while held by Jiang Chen, making him wonder if they were intentionally trying to take advantage of him.
At the banquet celebrating Jiang Chen's championship victory, they had indulged in a bit of wine and ended up completely drunk. Their faces were flushed a rosy pink, making one tempted to steal a kiss.
"Young Master, I'll leave them to you," Ning Ya said with a giggle.
"Leave them to me?"
"Of course. You have to take them back to their rooms, Young Master. What else can we do? We can't exactly let them sleep here."
"Alright, leave it to me."
Jiang Chen carried Ling Wanqiu and Xiao Luoxue to their respective rooms.
Gu Shuangyue had also been drinking, but she had only had a small amount and wasn't intoxicated.
Jiang Chen's mother, Xie Yulan, had already departed. She had gone to deal with those who harbored ill intentions toward Jiang Chen and had subsequently been captured.
Back in his own room, Jiang Chen immediately went to claim the rewards for his System mission.
A Poké Ball appeared in his hand. With a gentle toss, an Eevee emerged.
By winning the Hidden Dragon Cup Trainer Competition, he had earned an Eevee with Champion-level potential as well as five million points.
"My points are nearly at two hundred million now."
Jiang Chen glanced at his balance: 190 million points. Most of these had come from Mew's breakthrough in strength.
By training Mew to the level of a Tier 2 Legendary, Jiang Chen had directly received one hundred million points. The rest came from various mission rewards.
With nearly two hundred million points, Jiang Chen had no intention of spending them just yet. These were the points he was saving to buy a Tier 1 Legendary. While he could afford a Tier 3 Legendary, he didn't feel like buying one.
Quality was more important than quantity.
For instance, even if you took the three Legendary Birds and bundled them together with the three Legendary Beasts, they still wouldn't be a match for his Tier 2 Legendary, Mew.
"Vee~!"
The Eevee gave a cute cry and affectionately rubbed her small head against Jiang Chen's cheek.
"Gardevoir~!"
Gardevoir looked at the little newcomer with displeasure, her heart itching to throw this creature who was being far too intimate with Jiang Chen out of the room.
*[Eevee]*
*Gender:* Female
*Strength:* Normal Tier 3
*Talent Potential:* Champion
*Attribute:* Normal
*Ability:* Adaptability
*Moves:* Covet, Growl, Tackle
"In the future, I'll have you evolve into a Glaceon," Jiang Chen said softly, stroking Eevee's soft fur.
Regarding the Eevee family, Jiang Chen already had a Sylveon and an Espeon. The one he wanted most now was a Glaceon.
"Vee~!"
She let out another cute cry and stuck out her little tongue to lick Jiang Chen's hand.
"You're so cute, I almost don't want you to evolve."
Even Jiang Chen couldn't resist Eevee's cuteness, let alone a girl. If it were Xiao Luoxue, she would probably think about never letting Eevee evolve at all.
"Voir~!"
Gardevoir tugged at Jiang Chen's arm. She was asking him: wasn't she also cute?
Back when she was still a "Psychic Loli" Ralts, she was indeed very cute. Now, "cute" wasn't quite the right word to describe Gardevoir.
After evolving into the "Psychic Queen," Gardevoir had become beautiful, noble, and elegant. The word "cute" simply didn't fit her anymore.
"You are also very cute."
Hearing Jiang Chen's words made Gardevoir happy, yet she felt like she was being patronized.
She then glared at Eevee with a very unfriendly gaze.
Eevee was startled by Gardevoir's look and hurriedly hid behind Jiang Chen, peeking out with only her head, her eyes filled with terror as she watched Gardevoir.
"Don't scare Eevee," Jiang Chen scolded Gardevoir.
Gardevoir nodded gloomily, though she suspected Eevee was faking it pretending to be scared just so Jiang Chen would scold her.
This little Eevee isn't simple, Gardevoir thought, her hostility toward the newcomer rising once again.
"Little fellow, back into your ball."
Jiang Chen took out the Poké Ball to recall Eevee.
"Ee-vee~!"
Eevee shook her head, looking at Jiang Chen with pleading eyes.
Jiang Chen could clearly sense Eevee's thoughts. She didn't want to go back into the Poké Ball just yet. Seeing this, Jiang Chen didn't force her.
He had just obtained Eevee, so it was only natural to spend some time together to build a bond. He reached out, rubbed Eevee's small head, and nodded.
"Alright, you can stay out for a while."
"Voir~!"
Gardevoir was somewhat reluctant. Originally, she was the only one who accompanied Jiang Chen. Now that this Eevee had popped up, she was clearly competing for his affection. Naturally, Gardevoir was unhappy.
However, despite her reluctance, Gardevoir didn't want to raise an objection with Jiang Chen.
The next day, Jiang Chen performed his routine sign-in. The rewards from the daily sign-in were usually very ordinary; unless his luck exploded, nothing particularly good appeared.
Jiang Chen's luck would occasionally skyrocket, but it wasn't a daily occurrence. He wasn't exactly the Goddess of Luck's lover, so he didn't receive constant favor.
Today's sign-in items were extremely average. Jiang Chen casually tossed three Fire Stones aside.
Between the Fire Stones and Leaf Stones he had pulled, he had nearly a hundred evolution stones now.
While these were useless to him, they were worth quite a bit if sold. A single evolution stone could fetch tens of thousands of League Coins.
Jiang Chen wasn't short on money, so he didn't bother selling them. All the stones he received from sign-ins were thrown into his System Space.
The System Space was infinite, anyway. As long as it wasn't a living thing, he could store as much as he wanted.
Unfortunately, the System Space could not hold life. This included Pokémon Eggs, which could not be stored there unless they were "dead eggs." If an egg was no longer viable, it could be placed inside.
"Oh, you two woke up early."
When Jiang Chen opened his door, Ling Wanqiu and Xiao Luoxue were already up, sitting in the living room looking like they had massive headaches.
"After we got drunk yesterday, we didn't do anything... out of line, did we?" Ling Wanqiu asked cautiously.
That was the first time in her life she had ever been drunk. If she hadn't been competing with Xiao Luoxue, she never would have reached that point.
But yesterday, Xiao Luoxue had insisted on challenging her, and Ling Wanqiu didn't want to lose, so they both ended up wasted.
"You did."
"Huh?" Ling Wanqiu's eyes went dim, feeling like her social life was over.
Did she lose her manners and act like a maniac?
"After you got drunk yesterday, you took advantage of me," Jiang Chen said with a chuckle.
"We took advantage of you?"
Xiao Luoxue rolled her eyes at him. "You probably meant that the other way around."
Suddenly, Xiao Luoxue's eyes lit up. "Well, since you said I took advantage of you, there's no other way. I'll just have to take responsibility for you. Don't worry, you can just marry into my family from now on. I'll treat you well."
Hearing this, the shy Ling Wanqiu couldn't hold back.
"You weren't the only one taking advantage of him. Responsibility won't be necessary from you."
Ling Wanqiu was one step away from saying I'll do it. After the events of the previous day, she had become much bolder far more daring than she had been during their school days.
Back then, she never would have been able to say such things.
"Wait, where did this Eevee come from?" Xiao Luoxue asked, pointing at the creature.
Eevee was currently perched on Jiang Chen's shoulder. Her small body was a perfect fit, and her fur was exceptionally lustrous. One look was enough to tell she was well-raised.
There had been no Eevee last night, yet one had suddenly appeared today. Had he gone out to catch one during the night?
"You didn't get drunk too and then go out sleepwalking to catch an Eevee, did you?" Xiao Luoxue asked jokingly.
"Exactly. You guessed right. I caught her while I was sleepwalking last night."
Jiang Chen nodded toward Xiao Luoxue, playing along with her theory.
"Really?" Xiao Luoxue's eyes widened. She had just been teasing, but could she have actually hit the mark?
"Of course not. You didn't actually believe him, did you? How are you so easy to fool?"
Ling Wanqiu couldn't help but laugh. Just by listening to Jiang Chen's tone, it was obvious he was talking nonsense. Furthermore, Ning Ya had told them earlier that Jiang Chen hadn't been drunk. How could he have gone out sleepwalking to catch a Pokémon?
"I... I knew that, of course! I was just playing along. I wasn't fooled."
Xiao Luoxue felt a bit embarrassed. Naturally, she wouldn't admit she had actually believed him for a second.
"Seriously though, where did your Eevee come from?" Xiao Luoxue asked again.
She was certain Jiang Chen hadn't had an Eevee before, so she was incredibly curious about how he had conjured this one up.
