Kakashi gazed at his attackers and thought, 'So Hydra have decided to act already?'
He stood on the side of the road with the burning remains of his Mercedes still smoking behind him. The ambush had come suddenly, but he was not completely surprised.
Hydra was clearly feeling the pressure from the recent attacks on their bases. 'No, that cannot be right. I had the meeting with the security council just yesterday. Even if they know that I suspect them, by attacking me just the other day, they are confirming the suspicions of them being Hydra. They are not this stupid,' Kakashi thought.
He analyzed the situation quickly in his mind. The timing felt off for a direct move from the main Hydra leadership. It was more likely a desperate attempt by lower-level operatives or a test to see how he would react.
He looked at his attackers and even if they were fully cloaked in black, he could tell that they were women from their figures. 'Well shaped at that. I do not think Hydra is someone who has gender equality in their ranks. They cannot just send these many trained women,' Kakashi thought.
The six figures moved with trained movements, their black cloaks hiding their features but not their athletic builds. Kakashi remained calm as he assessed their threat level. They were clearly well-trained, but sadly way below his level.
He was not arrogant but he knew that he had long surpassed the level required for these people to even give him a challenge.
He then asked his attackers, "You would not tell me who sent you would you or which organisation you belong to..?" His voice was calm and almost casual, as if he was asking about the weather instead of facing armed enemies.
The women did not respond with words. Instead, they attacked him immediately with coordinated movements. They used swords and spears to his surprise.
Kakashi brought out his own father's blade from a storage scroll to parry a spear coming his way. The short blade met the spear with a sharp clang, sparks flying from the impact.
He moved with smooth movement, turning the parry into a counterattack that forced one attacker to jump back.
The fight began in earnest on the quiet roadside. Kakashi dodged a sword swing from his left and blocked another spear thrust from the right.
His tanto moved like an extension of his arm, deflecting blows with minimal effort. One woman tried to stab him from behind, but he spun around and kicked her leg out from under her.
She rolled away quickly, showing good training. Kakashi kept moving, never staying in one place long enough for them to surround him completely. The black-cloaked attackers were fast and skilled, but Kakashi's experience as a shinobi gave him the edge in reading their movements.
He could have made the fight even more easy by using his Sharingan but it had been a while since had had a fight of skill so he decided to just use his skills for this fight.
He brought his tanto up to block a powerful overhead strike from one of the swords. The impact vibrated through his arm, but he held firm. 'These weapons are stronger than normal steel,' he noted mentally as he pushed the attacker back.
He countered with a quick slash that cut through the woman's cloak, revealing more of her tactical gear underneath. The other attackers pressed harder, trying to overwhelm him with numbers.
Kakashi ducked under a spear thrust and swept the legs of another woman, sending her tumbling to the ground. These enemies were clearly here to assassinate him.
In the middle of the fight, Kakashi channeled lightning into his tanto. The blade crackled with Chidori as he swung it in a wide arc.
The electrified sword met one of the spears with a loud crack. Blue lightning danced along the blade, but to his surprise the sword did not manage to cut through the weapon. 'Whatever the weapon is made of, it is not normal metal,' Kakashi thought.
The enemy weapon held up against the lightning, though the woman holding it was pushed back by the force. Kakashi used the moment to press his advantage, moving in closer and striking with more physical strength.
He shocked two of the attackers with a Chidori stream, knocking them unconscious.
Someone threw small tennis ball shaped bombs at him. Kakashi used Earth Wall Jutsu to create a barrier of rock that rose from the ground quickly. The bombs exploded against the wall with loud bangs, sending dirt and debris flying.
The wall cracked but held long enough for Kakashi to move to a better position.
The remaining attackers tried to use their numbers to corner him, but Kakashi was too fast and experienced. He dodged and weaved between them, his tanto flashing in the sunlight as he disarmed one and knocked another out with a strike to the head. The fight was intense but controlled, with Kakashi slowly reducing their numbers.
When finally one of the attackers was left, he removed the black hood covering her face. He saw a black bald woman who glared at him with intense hatred. 'What is with bald strong women in this world?' Kakashi thought.
The woman was breathing heavily but still looked ready to fight. Before he could interrogate her, he saw her collapsing on her own. 'Poison pill too. I guess I will have to use other methods,' Kakashi thought.
He sighed as he looked at the fallen attackers around him who took mad swollen poison pills at some time.
