The doctor took a look at Fiona Grantham's leg; fortunately, it wasn't serious, though he advised her to avoid further injuries in the future.
Victor Bennett nodded, said he understood, and then the doctor left.
Fiona Grantham's face was still somewhat pale from the pain; the recent incident really left her in agony.
"Victor, it hurts so much. Will my leg become more serious?"
Victor Bennett glanced at her indifferently.
"The doctor said it's fine."
His nonchalant tone made Fiona Grantham feel a bit unwilling.
Before, whenever she felt even a little unwell, he would be extremely anxious; but now, after her leg got hit, this was his reaction?
"Tiffany Howard caused this for your sake; it's understandable that her parents are anxious."
"But, I didn't know she would do this; if I had known, I would have stopped her," Fiona said with a face full of sorrow.
"I'm not saying you knew; I'm just saying that Tiffany Howard did this, after all, to stand up for you."
