"Ophelia, you've never really had a hard life since you were born. Do you even know what it's like to struggle?" Chaya asked unhappily.
"The kind of life where you have to scrimp and save, where you have to think long and hard before buying anything. You've never lived like that!" said Chaya with reddened eyes. "Ophelia, listen to me, you can't get a divorce. Hurry up and reconcile with James!"
"I won't!" Ophelia cried, yet said resolutely, "I can't ruin James!"
"Why are you so stubborn?" Chaya was nearly frantic. She had worked so hard for so many years; did she really have to face hardship again in her old age?
"If you won't talk to James, I'll talk to him myself!" Chaya absolutely refused to let such a thing happen.
"Mom, do you want everyone to find out what you've done?" Ophelia questioned, "Not to mention that you switched the babies back then, but those four men you found this time – do you know what consequences that will bring?"
