"You want me to stay here?" Emerie asked in disbelief, her voice filled with anger.
"I'm not crazy, so why should I stay here?" Emerie saw Old Mrs. Wilson wasn't speaking and turned her head furiously to question Old Mrs. Wilson, "Mom, do you not want me either?"
"I'm your daughter!" Emerie shouted, and afterward, Old Mrs. Wilson silenced her by covering her mouth.
"She..." Old Mrs. Wilson wanted to intervene, but was glared at by Old Mrs. Wilson and dared not say anything more.
"If you're not crazy, then who is? You could even send away your brother's daughter, what are you really thinking? Knowing Benjamin harbors ill intentions, after divorcing him, you actually remarried him. Even knowing Sophie hates you to death, any sane person would avoid her, but you still went to her!"
After Old Mrs. Wilson finished speaking, he sighed heavily, "I think maybe the doctor was right, you really are ill, just for so many years, we didn't perceive it."
