"I'll get you a glass of water." Charles Seymour spoke, his voice not even slightly hoarse, remaining as cold and detached as always; no one would have guessed that he was so emotionally stirred just moments ago.
Charles poured warm water for Sophie Wilson, then supported her as she slowly drank it.
"From now on, you just need proper conditioning for your body." Charles felt better than ever.
"Okay." Sophie nodded.
"Avoid cold and spicy food for the time being," Charles explained, "It won't take long, just a month or two."
"Sure." Sophie looked at Charles with amusement and obediently agreed.
Is this guy treating her like a child?
"I've asked the kitchen to prepare some porridge for you, have a little in a while," Charles said.
"Alright." Sophie nodded, behaving as well as she could.
Charles went downstairs to get the porridge; as soon as he stepped out, he saw Kai Bright swiftly reach the hallway, staring at him intensely.
