Old Mr. Seymour went upstairs with Julian Campbell, who quickly sped up and was about to knock on Charles Seymour's office door.
Old Mr. Seymour pulled him back and directly pushed the office door open.
Julian Campbell was startled—no need to knock?
Is this okay?
This thought merely turned in Julian's mind for a moment, then he quickly followed inside.
Once Julian was in Charles Seymour's office, he realized that his uncle and aunt weren't the least bit surprised.
They were sitting on the sofa, and there were four steaming cups of freshly brewed tea on the coffee table.
Did Uncle know they were coming?
"Sit down." Old Mr. Seymour was not at all polite, and he sat on the sofa beckoning Julian like a host.
"Oh." Julian responded and sat down.
Old Mr. Seymour smiled at Charles Seymour and Sophie Wilson, "You two work well together."
"In sync," Charles replied, but the warmth in his eyes made Julian's teeth ache a bit.
