"Xi"
Again, it's Xi.
Zhou Chengchen instinctively looked at Xi Siyan, and sure enough, saw a hint of an unusual expression on Xi Siyan's face.
But Xi Siyan still answered the call without any hesitation in front of Zhou Chengchen.
"Hello?"
Zhou Chengchen heard some of the voice on the phone, but couldn't make out what exactly was said. He could only hear Xi Siyan's extremely brief replies: refusal, refusal, and more refusal.
Soon, the call was disconnected. Zhou Chengchen was too lazy to ask this time, yet the next second, the phone rang again.
This time the call displayed only a string of numbers, evidently an unsaved number on Xi Siyan's phone.
Zhou Chengchen didn't take it seriously, but he noticed a heavier expression on Xi Siyan's face.
Having just received a call from his supposed father, Xi Siyan had frowned slightly, seeming somewhat displeased. But now, Zhou Chengchen clearly saw sarcasm in his eyes, and even a hint of anger.
