Zoira suddenly turned back and looked at the silent old knight, but he didn't respond.
At this moment, the old knight turned his head to look at the stone chamber's entrance.
Noticing Zoira's gaze, he asked solemnly, "Child, did you hear it?"
"Hear what? I didn't hear... Hmm?"
Zoira's expression changed as she, too, heard the faint sound: "Is that... footsteps? Is someone coming?"
Hearing this answer, Morton's expression didn't relax but instead tightened even more.
Indeed, someone was coming.
This wasn't a reality that belonged solely to the two of them; others were also eligible to come.
But the problem was... although Morton heard the approaching footsteps, he bizarrely didn't sense any presence.
An existence of unknown form was slowly approaching.
If it weren't for Zoira hearing the sound too, he would have suspected that he was experiencing auditory hallucinations.
